that end boss in super smash bro. brawl. One hit kill + unavoidable attack = anger.

Also, the cougars in red dead redemption. I was doing a mission where you must go to a town, but are being attacked by gunmen on horses, but then I see a cougar running at me and I completely ignore the gunmen and go straight for the cougar.

Since when were cougars more dangerous than several armed men?

In the first Bad Company game, the single player was almost ruined by the Eagle eyed AI.

Sneaking was simply not an option in that game.

When the AI pull resources and soldiers out of its ass just when your about to beat them. Or when you finally have repelled their attacks and they just keep sending in constant waves. Pisses me right off(been playing a lot of RTS lately).

I wish game developers would instead invest their time into making smarter AI instead of cheaper enemies. When I turn up the difficulty in a game I would rather have a smarter opponent instead of one who just happens to take longer to take down or pulls bullshit moves out of their ass.
Thats the same problem i'm facing( i'm an RTS fanatic) when playing Red Alert 3 against a brutal Ai instead of making it smarter they just made its ore collectors collect 3 times as much as mine and their superweapon seems to do more damage than mine and they never need to scout because they can see everything on the map and that pisses me off constantly along with really bad pathfinding for my units because EA couldn't be bothered with more tuning and polishing the game.

Oh and also making the Ai actually think rather than become godlike!.

Enemy spellcasters that can spam magic attacks without needing to bother about spell cooldowns, or running out of magic points.

But I guess that isn't bad A.I., it's bad programming.

I hate it when you die in games like Call of Duty, you fall to the ground dead, but the enemies still go up to you and shoot you. That pisses me off. It really adds insult to injury.

when doing a quick-time event in Prototype to jack a tank... it pisses the FUCK out of me to get blown off by a rocket in that ONE second before jacking it... and then it happens again... and again... and again... until i just say "FUCK IT!" launch my devastator attacks and destroy EVERYTHING

also when the enemy knows EXACTLY where you are at ALL times and just DO NOT MISS!

think Crackdown 2 when 99% of the Cell are carrying Rocket Launchers and they're juggling you around on the ground as you scream "GET THE FUCK UP!"

Let's see one that comes to mind was when I was playing WoW and I was going an underwater quest. I was battling murlocs inside a sunken ship and whenever I got them to critically low health, they would run away THROUGH THE SHIP, and when I tried to cast a ranged spell against them, it said TARGET NOT IN LINE OF SIGHT. I was like "Bullcrap! The enemy travels through solid matter and I can't fire at them? I would like some consistency here!"

Also the freaking horned two legged guys in Metroid Prime 2 in Torvus Bog. Somehow, those guys ALWAYS seemed to piss me off! Even when I had the gravity boost to help. If only because they wave their horns 5 FEET AWAY FROM ME and yet they still manage to take a beating out of my energy tanks.

I hate it when game companies realize they can't make good enemy AI so they just pump their health and shields full of digital steroids and give each and every single one of the fuckers a friggin missle launcher. All you get is 2mm of a health bar, and a shitty pistol.

How I can easily call a batch of thirty guards in Assassins's Creed 2. You think they'd learn to attack when I'm killing one of their friends.

The opposition in FIFA 11, capable of doing things you are not and constantly using cheap trick moves.

Every enemy in Far Cry 2 and the original Bad Company, really hard to see but will happily shoot you in the face from anywhere.

The big robots with heat seeking missiles in Force Unleashed, utter bastards.

The A.I in NFS: Hot Pursuit is slowly but surely chipping away at my patience.

Yes, it is fairly intelligent diving down shortcuts and fighting back.
Yes it makes the game more challenging.
No, a Ford Shelby GT500 cannot outrun a Lamborghini LP640 doing it's top speed of at least 200mph and begin to pull away from me when I hit around 210. Top speeds indicate this in the game itself.

Also, the fact the A.I can do a 180 turn on a dime and be miles away by the time I've turned around myself about a second after they've done it themselves is a kick in the head.

I don't know if I am the only one that notices this, but on certain fighting games when you bring up the difficulty the AI tends to know the exact button you push the very second you push it. It is like going against a player who is looking at your controller and the TV at the same time.

So the fighting game goes from being offensive to defensive. Meaning that you have to recognize slow recovery attacks and exploit them. Mostly just doing slow chip dmg. It's aggravating because it is no longer about skill but remembering patterns.

How do I know? Because any time I throw a slow attack in I get hit the very second I push the button. Not a little after, not even at least .5 of a second, the second I push a button to throw a slow attack I get countered with a hit. Some action/adventure games were the same way.

I'm not talking about attacks in the middle of combos. I mean just a simple button push that does a slow attack while standing still. I get hit the same second I push the button and think "WTF!? Are you psychic?"

Well, this isn't really considered an enemy but the beggars in AC1 follow you around while yelling for money. If you climb buildings or structures to get away from them they will throw stones and rocks at you. Also, in AC2 the spiritual successor to the beggars; the buskers. They also follow you around playing their shit music but at least they don't throw rocks at you and they'll go away if you throw down 10 florins.

Nothing really. I don't like when they can easily get caught on walls and such and their generally lack of intelligence overall but I don't have any particular grips. I have much more trouble with enemies that are made harder by giving the same dude increasing orders of magnitude of health or really overpowered weapons as opposed to new and better enemies as you go.

I don't see why they all aim at me though. I sit behind guys, they get completely ignored, and I get shot. I'm sure i have a target on my head or something.
Priority target! They can see from the retarded expressionless faces of your friendly controlled AI that they are no threat to anything other than valuable cover space!!

The solider who drives in Halo Reach was the most retarded A.I EVER!
A.I-tard: "Hey how you doing there buddy where you headin'?"
Me: "...erm...to the next mission point...please?"
A.I-tard: "Oh yeah sure we could go there, but won't you take a look at that view over there. Can't you enjoy the magnificent glory of those mountains"
Me: "....get out of the driver set"
A.I-tard:"what?"
* I jump out of the gunner seat walks over to the driver*
A.I-tard: "Hey man how you doi-"
*shotgun blast to the face*
*heavy breathing and muttering swear words under my breath as I jump into the drivers seat*
Any one just sit there looking at the surrounding area of Reach cause this guy wouldn't move the damn vehicle?
I think Halo's AI is even worse when gunning than while driving. I mean dammit, all they have to do is point the turret at the enemy and hold the trigger down. But no, they act like the damn thing is about to run out of ammo. Any normal person wouldn't ever let up on the fire. But I have seen elites get away, I have been destroyed by Wraiths, and I have been stuck numerous times all because the marines don't fucking like the sound the gun makes when it shoots.

Also, I hate AIs that always know where you are. Hate it.
