The old fude is back upon us today. The team we have always feared to play but in a way always want to play. The last 5 times we have played each other it's been they've won, we win, they win, we win, they win, so it is our turn to shine!!

Like me and my friends were saying yesterday, England play shit against shit teams but phenomenal against the higher ranked teams.

I recon 2 - 1 to England with an early lead then a late winner.

What do you guys think the result will be, also are you as hyped i am about this game.

EDIT: Unlucky USA for being knocked out by Ghana, But in a personal view i think Ghana was the dominant team in that match.

I'm hoping for England to win in maybe extra time 1-0 or 2-1. it's difficult to say though because as you said we play shit against shit teams and good against top tier teams. I think if rooney manages to be at his best, which we still have not seen, along with Gerrard having a good match, i think we will win.

Rooney is hungry for his 1st world cup goal! and he is going to get it first goal of the game.
Aslong as he play defoe and Joe Cole again we should have a good chance of winning.

People seem to have put down Germany as a brilliant team of world beaters and England as a tired, aged squad. If you watched Germany against Serbia and Ghana, you'd think otherwise. Hell, even against Australia they weren't that good, it was just poor opposition.
England are getting into their groove at the right time and if we manage to beat Germany today I believe we can beat anyone.
I also had a dream last night that England win on penalties, if that counts?
I say 2-1 to England. 2-1 seems to be the flavour of the knock-out stages so far.
