Germany will win. It's gonna be tough, but in the end our team will prevail. The Octopus said so.

Also, I can't stand the English fans. Or let's say some of them. When the cup was in Germany I was on a train with lots of English fans on it and, remember that this was in Germany and they were surrounded by Germans, they started singing songs about the RAF shooting down German bombers. Which is odd, because there was no match between England and Germany at that World Cup.

Also, Who cares if Germany won 4-0? they lost to Serbia. SERBIA..I can't even remember the last time I heard that Serbia was last in the world cup lol
They're apparently ranked #15 in the world. At least that's what I heard on the radio. Also, Germany lost against Croatia in the Eurocup and still made second in the end.

Hoping England win... but with the recent performances we've put on, I just don't know... Though our last match was unlucky, we should have scored far more!
I think that because we've played not very high rated teams we took it easy and slacked expecting easy wins, But today we have to put 110% effort!

P.S. I love your Avatar! Mr lover lover!!!!!!! XD

Well as has been well documented England haven't been having the easiest of tournaments but if they can perform like/better than the last game they can easy win. Who knows its been rather unpredictable so far this worldcup, both finalists from the last world cup crashing out. Germany haven't been in the best form and(I know its going to sound rather petty to the Americans) I'm glad we get to face them other than Ghana cause they look dangerous. Looking forward to Ghana vs Uruguay.

Win today would be brilliant cause that would most likely bring up a match against the Argies, who I think are Englands greatest football rivals.....fucking hand of god.

Anyway 1-1 Halftime, 2-1 Fulltime, Lets try not to go to extra time lads.

I'm probably not going to watch this, though I predict a 1 - 1 draw.
Knock-out stages can't end in a draw. One of em has to win it by the end (even if its in penalties).

Personally I want and think England to win. ENGERLAND! Then we'll have the other big rivalry of England v Argentina (with Maradona as coach).

Lol i would love it that if we lost against the Argies that Capello runs and drop kicks Maradona!! that would make the loss a bit more bareable :)

We couldn't beat Algeria. Hell we couldn't beat the US, that's bad, that's really bad. Germany is going to crush England.

I want England to win, and the way we played last time we actually might if rooney gets out of his bad patch. In our last game even thougth we played well we only had 10 men, plus rooney untill the last few minutes of him on the field.

Poor guy, hope he gets over it. We might proceed to win against Germany.

What we cannot do under any circumstances is go up against the penalty machine :)

Idon't support either team, but I hope for 3-1. don't care who wins, but 3-1 means interesting football.

you know what, scratch that, I just want an interesting match, 'cause I get nothing of that when watching Holland. Now Spains last match, THAT was football, damn it!

Oh, and there's another reason beside the octopus why this is a definite win for Germany: Whenever Germany lost one match in the group-stage, they made it to the last round.

I'm sorry..but where did you hear this..?
Podolski's missed goal against the Serbs, I think. The commentators were mentioning that stat that day.

OT: Scoreline will depend completely on what team Capello plays and if they're up for it. Drop Heskey, stop playing Gerrard on the left, play Joe Cole, etc etc. Also, depends on whether Germany's key offensive players click. Klose is consistent, but Podolski and Ozil less so, and Schweinsteiger might not be fit.

England will lose. Even on the last game that they won, they were rubbish but the commentators big everything up. They just dont have the quality that Germany has.

Funny thing is, Germany's main rivals are Netherlands so it is England who care the most.

I think its good, I think England relish playing Germany. Also the younger generation can now finally know what it feels like to need that change of trousers after watching 120 minutes of tense football

We want Heskey on as he is a player who is good at running through their team as he is so large. If he doesn't play joe cole i think we won't have a chance.

I'm guessing England will win.
But I'm hoping it'll be 5-1 to Germany just for the lol factor.

Germany 2, England 1

German defense will be shaky, but England will be unlucky enough not to score. German attacks won't be able to faze the English defense, and the 2 goals are pure luck (and one mistake by the goalkeeper). Rooney will see 2 yellow cards in the game, so only 10 English players in the 2nd half.

No penalties.
