First thing... that second goal England should have had was waaaay over the line.

Other than that, fair play to the Germans.

Mind you, hasn't been a good day for us all round, Hamiltion coming second to Vettel in the F1 earlier today.

Germany, for two reasons:
1. I'm mostly German.
2. History tells us that Germany can own England's ass as long as America doesn't step in...

Indeed it doesn't. Both involved armed conflicts between Germany and England.

This is true, but don't forget Germany has to be less greedy and not try beating Russia in the same game.

Fair play to the Germans, I had written them off as the weakest German side in many years with only Klose and Podolski (both Polish by the way ;P) capable of doing damage. But they showed just how much difference it makes when players play as a team and not individuals. Terry was appauling today, Rooney should be banned for all World Cups since he is clearly useless. Best striker in the world and has let us down twice now? Go figure. The only saving grace is that in 4 years time, Terry, Gerrard, Lampard, Heskey, Defoe, Crouch etc will be past it, then we get some team players.
You can't be serious about them being a weak side. Ozil has shown just how willing he is to work for a goal, Shweinsteiger(sp?) is good, and they'd be even better with Ballack.
not weak, the weakest they've had in a long time, on paper the match should have been England's, but like I said, fair play to Germany

Looking forward to the game, really think that for once England have the edge.
I know this is many hours later, but I can only imagine your dissapointment.

Whoever thought this game was going to be close, you just got shut down. I'm sorry for England, but the days of bringing "experience" over youth are dead and gone. As is apparent by Italy, France, England's poor play. I didn't understand at all why England was favoured here, oh well. Lesson learned, England's got some retooling to do.

FUCK THIS CRAP! I want videos with each difficult decision shown at the side of the field, for the referees to see if needed. Look what can happen! If Lampard's goal would have been enabled, then the English wouldn't have thrown themselves into offense, allowing the Germans to score two more goals. It would have been a different match. Look what an idiot referee can do. Same goes for Argentina's first goal.

2 fuck ups from the officials in 1 day! Can has video ref pl0x?
FIFA must surely re-consider this?

Ah well even with our 2 goals we probably woulda been beaten. The octopus said so.

Thought Frank Lampard played alright though, excluding the free kicks.

COME ON ARGENTINA!! Show the Germans who's boss.

Although the Germans hadn't succeeded in the Battle of Britain, they had trashed the navy, cities and some of the air force. Britain definitely wasn't going to succeed without Germany being retarded and attacking Russia. The U.S. tore up Japan, not so much Germany.

While I'm annoyed by the British reaction today, I'm getting more annoyed at some American's historical ignorance and arrogance.

Hmmm...iffy decisions today. Still, it was clear that Germany were the better team. They managed to get through on goal repeatedly whilst England were reliant on set pieces and ranged efforts. England have a right to feel hard done by, but if you can't defend a forward pass from a goal kick you aren't going to win.

Well, but it so happens that the paper was printed in England ;P.

England have so much potential, it's sad to see them go down again and again. It's kind of hard to pin down why they fail each time. They have the talent, but I guess the problem is just multiple smaller ones. It's mostly to do with pressure, not having a winning mentality and a lack of spirit.

Germany is showing great team spirit and winning games as a team. They are largely inexperienced (Mueller was playing B-side football only 12 months ago :O) but they have the mental toughness and commitment for their mates.

They seemed to lack all the qualities that made Germany great. Too young, too soft, no experience, no real leader...but man how wrong I was. I didn't think they'd do terribly but the showings against Australia, Serbia (we lost but had the spirit and were the better team) and England have showed me the heart of these guys. If this team can continue growing together (lots of them are early 20s) I can see good things happening next WC and the one after that. Maybe it could be another German team rivaling the one from the 70s.

Why is Crouch on that list? Could contend with a few others (lampard played ok imo, and im really not one of his fans ¬¬) but crouch? The one who actually scores and serves a role in the team yet is never used and spends 3/4 of his time on the bench in favor of overhyped rooney? The guy who's proved he is definitly a team player by being happy to win the aerial balls and pass it to others so they get the glory?

Meh so the backlash and mindless hate begin T_T
