Eh... the beans kinda turn me away. I just don't see that as breakfasty. Then again, I'm not English.

Plus I like something sweet in my meals. A mix of sweet and savory.

I've always been quite fond of a sausage biscuit, tater tots, and an apple but maybe that's just because they're the only edible foods I can get from the school dining halls on a semi-regular basis...

This thread makes me ashamed to be not British. I feel I have insulted the great British food gods every morning I have woken up with a hangover and didn't immediately demand someone shove some hashbrowns and rashers down my throat.

Where's the black pudding? That's not a proper breakfast without a bit of fried blood clot.
You'd be surprised how hard it is to find an image that doesn't look terribly unappetising. That's the best one I could find.
Here you go?

Baked beans, disgusting. The rest of the breakfast however looks good, maybe add in another small sausage and trade the bread for an extra hash brown with some good coffee and you got a decent meal. As for a hangover cure, I wouldn't know us real polish men don't get hangovers :)

As we all know, breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day.

Now you see, you forgot the most important element of the 1st meal of the day:

English breakfast is the best. But honestly they couldnt make a decent sausage if their lives depended on it. I always substitute those with additional bacon

Right now I am very drunk. I am also aware that I have the ingredients in the flat to produce a double sausage, double egg sandwich, with tomato, black pudding and Heinz baked beans and several rashers of bacon. Despite the hangover, I cannot bloody wait until morning :)

I have no idea how you guys manage to find the will to call other nations fat after presenting that wall of food as something you'd eat first thing in the morning.

It's not like we eat it every day.

Well, some people do, but for most people, it's typically a weekend only deal.

Your point being? Any discussion value at all here? You didn't even say why you made this thread or anything, you just said "here is a meal, behold it's glory".

Sooo, cool story bro?

To take a stab at being on topic. Being English I think I can say there is only one redeeming factor of this heart attack on a plate ... the bacon. Sure sausage, toast and egg are ok but bacon is the king and the other stuff on that plate is just bin fodder.

Well considering we're on page three, there must be some discussion value :D

People don't need to spell it out every time they start a thread.

I prefer a Scottish fry-up to be honest. Black pudding, square sausage and potato scones are a must! ;)
So true, don't forget the hash browns!

But if we are talking about hangover cures then nothing beats a nice glass of Orange Juice or a can o' Irn Bru!!

No, but a hint is nice. You basically tarted up "this is what some English people eat for breakfast when they are usually hungover or have a craving for grease".

It's show and tell with the tell being "it's a greasy breakfast usually consumed by the English"

I've done several threads relating to British food before, I don't know if you caught them or not, but it's kind of a running in joke.
