These nerds were pretty cool in this action, but also these 'criminals' were pretty unexperienced. Seriously, no weapon, no baseball bat, no anti-nerd tactical shield borrowed from special forces? But well, that probably wouldn't even help them. These nerds looked pretty enraged.

Hell yeah, nerds are going to take over the world now with our supreme minds and technology! Now I understand what's behind that 2012 thing.

They really tried to rob a place with no weapons? How fucking stupid is it possible to be?
They should just be fucking happy the people didn't beat them both to two bloody pulps.

Here we see the common nerd; alone this species will act timid and reclusive from other species. However when the nerd is threatened it will gather in numbers and attack. This ?nerd herd? has been known to cause harm to other species as well as destroy websites. Should you be cornered by a nerd herd it is best to avoid eye contact and talk about WoW.

Funny story, but a pity they let their prey go. They could have taken on all the bad guys and leveled up!

Whether poor Devin felt any bitterness over the fact that his customers were more willing to fight for a Nintendo DS than they were for him was unknown at press time.
lol, poor Devin.

But seriously, I know what he's talking about. Nerd rage. It exists mang. And it's dangerous.

anyone think its strange that i kept thinking some1 needed to grab a blunt object to strike them with? or maybe a chair?
Kinda wished I was there, I always carry a knife on me, and lord help anyone trying to steal from me who doesn't visibly have a gun in their hand.
Really? And people wonder why some say games make you violent...
Nah, that's purely my upbringing. I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't jump at the chance to knife some scumbag.
But again really? The robbers were idiots and pricks but isn't wanting to knife them completely over the top? I mean beat them up sure, teach them a lesson but shanking them just seems more psychotic than they are.

Yeah, because it's totally the games that makes him carry a knife.

OT: Yeah, nerds aren't pushovers anymore. Lets see someone try to steal a game I own. Last guy who did was bigger than me and i still knocked his ass out.
Sarcasm and exaggeration.

This just fills me with joy.
A couple of 'Gangstas' from 'Da Hood' think they can rob a place with a few gamers in it.
NO.
Really,It's good to see that my good gamer gentlemen can beat the shit out of some street thugs who think they're big shots.
(The best part is when the guy is being held down by the nine people, just wonder what is going on in his mind.)

If my copy of Gmod wasn't crashing every time I started it up,I would love to do this in it with TF2 characters, like when they take his DS he goes into Ubercharge mode, but unfortunately,it is not.

This is one of my favourite news stories yet. Dylan Hays is my new hero. What a legend.

Err... I don't know what everybody else saw, but while the Justice League of Nerdland did scare off the thieves they don't look like they pummeled anybody much. It's more like they put up surprising resistance to being punched and then sat on top of one of them, which scared off the attackers.

Still, more power to them. I'm a big proponent of handing stuff to people that are trying to rob you, but when they start throwing punches without provocation you're probably not going to win much by playing along.
It may be because I live in the SE US, but private business here are more likely to hand over a few rounds in your ass than they are merchandise. Most of our robberies tend to be chain stores with policies against weapons and fighting back.

The ones that aren't, well, the attempted criminals end up where they belong, in the hospital or under a rock.

Not sure how this is relevant. We have crime because we coddle criminals, instead of dealing with them. I doubt this is the first time most of the involved 'suspects' have been arrested for incidents like this, and the statistics indicate they won't stop until someone puts them down, or puts them away for life.
