obviously, i put whatever lets me watch the video. i am now 18, so it doesnt matter anymore, but i still punch in the quickest option. like 01/01/1980 or i just scroll through the years quickly and pick whatever is old enough

I use my actual birthdate, unless it's a video about a game I'm interested that for some reason says I can't watch even though it's a 15, you need to be 18 to watch.

Ugh, I got temporarily screwed out of a free game that way once. At some point, when I was 17 and therefore old enough to play M-rated games even according to the ESRB, I decided to download F.E.A.R. Combat, which is the free, multiplayer only version of F.E.A.R.. I put my actual birth date into the box, knowing full well that I was old enough to walk into any store in the country and buy the thing, and promptly got locked out, because Monolith had it set to 18, like it was a porn site or something. I had to spend the next half hour or so screwing around with my browser history to get it to let me back in. The really sad part about this is that my computer at the time couldn't run it, and I wasn't able to actually play it for another 3 years after that, when it was the first game I bought for my current PC. Did I mention that the download was a full gigabyte, and I was 17 back in 2007, meaning even on broadband, downloading that took a while?

OT: Obviously, I put in a random fake age until I turned 18. Once I was 18, I put in my actual age for a year or so, before getting lazy and taking it to the right year, but the wrong day. My birthday actually is in January though, so it's not too far off.

I used to enter whatever was quickest. The internet is so new that I never had to lie to get onto one of these things (mostly red-band trailers) so it's more of an annoyance to me. Anymore, it's just as quick to put my real age in, and I figure it helps out with the demographics research of the companies, which is what I think the real goal is--to claim advertising share.

I used to lie about my age to watch it. Mainly porn videos (come on, we've all done it.) I sometimes type my actual age, but most of the time I can't be assed and just do it as quickly as I can.

I just scroll down the year as well. Usually one little flick of the scroll wheel is all it takes. Unlike you however I don't think I have ever entered my actual age, even through I was old enough when those became a standard feature on videos and sites (before that they used to have two links one that said you where above the age restriction one that said you where below.
