Epic Emotional Scores. What's your favourite?

This thread was inspired by a thread done a day or so ago about epic battle music. I just wondered what peoples' favourite pieces were that make you emotional (not just sad).

Also, i like to explore different artists and find new stuff i might like, so please share.

Here's some of my favourites:


This piece always makes me cry, from about 2 minutes onwards.


Anything from Hans Zimmer is just mindblowingly good.

Dear god, that Inception song you posted fits the movie SO WELL

I was thinking of getting it on iTunes but then I felt like it would just go stale, and that soundtrack largely defines the emotion at the end of Inception.

First thing that comes to mind.

This music plays when you are fighting a God. It starts out gloomy and depressing, like there's no way to win. (this is reflected in the game because she is beating your ass constantly). After 5 minutes, it crescendos and gives the fight some hope. Then...after another minute....It Climaxes and you are filled with this rush of energy, You can do this....You can beat her!.

(Yes, I'm very into music with chanting. It's entoxicating, to me.)

Mine isn't really 'emotional' in the traditional sense, so I guess I'm just a BIG FAT CHEATER. But I hope you can make an exception for this.


This instrumental track just perfectly captures the desolate, demonic, decadent atmosphere of a village that was once so proud and even mighty, and now stands as little more than a ruin - a monument to the stubborn persistence of mankind to pretend that nothing is wrong, even when the world is coming down.

It gives me shivers every damn time.

It captures perfectly the Raziel´s thirst for revenge, it´s really dramatic.

And all kinds of bad-ass. Ii just makes you want to stake a couple of vamps >
