i recently saw this movie, even though it came out in 2003, and i really liked it, i thought that the plot was developed at the perfect speed, and the gun fights were awesome. i was just wondering how other escapists felt about this movie, i know its not the most well known movie.

and for those who think that its just another sci-fi shooting movie, like the matrix, the gun fights take a back seat to the plot, there are only a few fights, one at the beginning, a small one in the middle, and a big one at the end.

Honestly I turned it off after that first gun scene, I thought it was going to be another shitty sci-fi movie and none of my other friends told me I needed to watch it so I didn't, and I personally don't like Christian Bale.

It was a pretty slick movie. Though I do have to question a martial art gun-fu style based entirely around cool poses.

It's not bad but basically it's just a bunch of better dystopian stories thrown together.
Namely Matrix, 1984, Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451 and any others that I might've missed.

It's pretty obscure, but I really enjoyed it. There are a few eye rolling moments, but honestly show me one action movie that doesn't. It's kinda like 1984 meets the Matrix with a bit of Data's emotional confusion thrown in for good measure. I recommend it.

(Damn my 1984/Martix analogy got ninja'd. I guess that means the comparison holds water.)

Same here, I almost walked out of Terminator: Salvation because he did his ridiculous Batman voice. But his voice is pretty normal in the movie the OP is talking about.
