You've got a point. But it's not just that it's an American remake, I'm skeptical because of the circumstances in it's production. If they can prove that they've kept some of the contravesial themes and that they can keep Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara from taking their shirts off for no reason, then I'm willing to give it a chance.tautologico said:About american remakes, I don't think everyone needs to be so pessimistic. Take the case of Let the Right One In, a great swedish film that was remade in the US just two years later (Let Me In) into another good film.
Even the author of the original book commented on how both films are good and provide interesting views of his work.
Considering the pedigree of the people involved, the new Girl with a Dragon Tatoo gets a chance from me.
Do not want that Contagion movie. I don't care if its amazing, the entire concept is already making me remember my virus phobia... *shudders*Marter said:No mention of Dream House or Contagion is disappointing.
Agreed.Casual Shinji said:You didn't just use Benjamin Button as a positive example of David Fincher's work, right?!
Let me just start by saying that The Thing (1982) is one of my favourite movies OF ALL TIME. Everybody needs to watch that movie. Seriously.Abandon4093 said:Who the fuck couldn't get excited about a 'Thing' prequel?
I've been waiting for that since I heard it's announcement last year. I hope to holy shit they do the first one justice.
