Also, you people agreeing with Bob: You're missing the point as well. We're not annoyed because he didn't like it. We're annoyed because he insulted people that liked it, and then talked down at people because they didn't see the indie film, and instead saw the blockbuster. He stated that anyone who saw the big film rather than the smaller one was WORTHLESS.

And then he brings it up again this week.

And you call us the childish ones?
This, how can you even agree with bob when he posted that image of a monkey hitting a rock and said "JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT THE HUMAN RACE WAS WORTH SOMETHING!" That and the sheep statement was unaceptible you shouldent encrouge eletist atitude like that, or him ranting about popular films or drooling whenever theres a woman in a movie.

Evidently his favorite film of all time is Caligula.
What?!
Now the internetz are sugesting that is Caligula bad?!?!?!
Well excuse me for daring to suggest that the all-time classic film Caligula is anything less than a masterpiece of epic cinema.
I doubt MovieBob would like Caligula very much, and I will explain why with fabulously obtuse logic.

MovieBob hated the Expendables enough to insult those who watched it, correct?

Brad Jones, the Cinema Snob, loved the Expendables, and gushed over it in one of his vlogs.

Guess what Brad's all-time favorite movie is.

You guessed it.

Caligula.

Oh, okay, never mind then.

Yahtzee insults people as a species. Bob insulted a specific group of people.

Centurion is definitely a hit.
Pirahna? maybe not so much. I'll get it out of the bargain bin a year from now or so.

Gotta disagree with Centurion being good, I thought it sucked so bad. Especially the randomly ruthless character, what? Why did he suddenly start killing people? Did he just feel like being bad? There's no background at all to his decisions.

I'm going to watch the rest of his movies though, 'cause they're mostly set in Scotland. I've seen Dog Soldiers, that was a good movie.

It's been said before though, Yahtzee does do it with his tongue in the cheek and he did reply to the smash bros post with a mailbag hoe down, which was bloody funny and honest.

Yahtzee is a crusader for excellence and is well aware that his opinion will not sway (in smsbb case specifically) a Nintendo nut. In fact if you got more out of a game he hated he'd probably be interested to know how and why if he met you in real life.

bob would call you a retarded monkey and go back to vigorously masturbating over DoA (Dead or Alive by the way).

Haha, I knew you were going to go back to the Expendables! So many replies... ah well.

I won't see Piranha 3D because it seems only passable in that form, a form I still currently resist. As for Centurion, was is it with the violent historical films that I see once they're on DVD? Valhalla Rising being another recent case.

As for the director, while I enjoyed Dog Soldiers and The Decent, Doomsday was NOT a good example. Plus, none of those film are B movies, their just small time development British films. For example the Decent is a great horror film, much more than most others, not a B-movie.

Meh, I still can't figure out why he describes The A Team as a good ole fun and The Expendables as a waste of space when they are both the same basic thing; silly action flicks that take advantage of people's sense of nostalgia.

Still Piranha's does sound fun. I'll probably skip centurion though. I hate it in period/historical movies where they always pep up the battles with using firewalls/explosions. Apart from being at odds with the attempts towards portraying realistic or historical elements, they get used so often they've some how made explosions look boring.

Gladiator was one of the few films that made it look cool. The Last Samurai, King Arthur etc, they fucked it up.

Naked ladies, exploding cars, tons of blood... ingredients if not the entire recipe for a good movie. No need to beat up on Bob for liking naked ladies anymore than he might like exploding cars.

But, especially in this day of Internet boobs, Bob would agree (as he noted sort of in his Heavy Metal review) that nudity alone is not going to put butts in seats. I can see more surfing in 5 minutes for free than I will at something like this. But, it is typically a nice bonus to a movie I want to see anyway.

So, yeah, I wanna see Piranha, even if I am a mind numbed member of the masses that loved Expendables.

Bob is such a hypocrite that it hurts. OH BECAUSE IT HAS BOOBS AND BLOOD IT'S GOOD is the kind of thing he apparently hates to hear from college jocks , but he seems to make that the sole point of watching the movie. He's getting to big for his boots. He used to be able to make good points because he didn't be a sad loser and drool over blood and tits. But now, because he thinks that people are following him like sheep, now he can say anything, whether it ruins him or not.

What an asshole.

is that a cinema snob reference?

hmmmm?
I may have the movie in my mind after that review.

However I've just come back from seeing Scott Pilgrim and I think I nee to rewatch Kill Bill to wash away my dissapointment.

Yeah I could never watch his reviews. He either has stupid ass reasons for not liking a film or stupid ass reason for liking it. Either saying "Dur this has boobies in it go see it" or "Dur..this didn't have boobies in it don't see it"

So, you expect the viewers to take the "high road", when MovieBob refuses to do so?

Bob was the one who brought the subject up again and insulted the same people that were pissed last week. So...Yeah, they kind of have a right to be pissed again.

Especially when, just a week after chastising them for liking a meaningless action flick, he praises an even more meaningless movie because, "it has lots of 3D boobies in it".

Well seeing as how he spent half of this review taking a shot at those people it wouldnt be the internet if they just let it lie

For my part, Expendables was average at best granted, but as others have pointed out don't insult your readers purely for their taste. Espicially when you hold up Piranha 3D as the counterpoint, and I love tits in a movie as much as the next guy.

Also I saw Centurian over a week ago and there is some great action in there but the chracterisation leaves a lot to be desired, although Dominic West channels Jimmy Mcnulty very well, "dont fuck with the ninth" indeed.

It would be a stretch to even call this video a review for Centurian as all you say is the directors previous films are good and it has Michael Fassbender in it, Hardly Exhaustive
And two wrongs have always made a right, right?

He's no good for bringing it up again and you're no good for continuing to hold the grudge. So he insulted you, who the fuck cares? People insult other people daily. This is life. Get over it.

Piranha 3D is great fun, plenty of gore, plenty of cool references (Richard Dreyfuss singing "Show Me the Way To Go Home") and yes, plenty of t&a. Don't dismiss it just because Bob mentioned more about the boobs than the other fun stuff. It's a great B movie, think Tremors but a bit less good.
Centurion looks good also, and I'll be watching The Expendables soon. I think everyone got a bit over sensitive about it, though Bob was snobby in the extreme. I've done that too, I still insist that anyone who actively likes Date/Epic/Disaster Movie and any of the other abortions those hacks have made, is a complete idiot. Honestly, you'd have to be a resident in the Idiocracy version of the future to get anything from those films.
But, it's time for the name-calling and tearful, bitter recriminations to stop and people either need to get over it or stop watching the guy. Bob meanwhile should stick to straight reviewing rather than bitter rants designed to attract criticism.

Its funny all the Bob fans say "You should listen to his reviews, but don't listen to his insults! BE ONE OF US!"
