Question, when does this movie take place in the universe? I mean, Han's clearly in it and supposedly died in Tokyo Drift, so does that mean this took place before Tokyo Drift?

Other than that, Fast and the Furious has always been more about the cars they show than anything else. It's an opportunity for car nuts to go "OMG a Nissan Skyline r34!" The movies have and always will be subpar, but I am impressive with the cars they manage get and destroy for these movies.

EDIT: I'm happy to throw myself in as douchebag rather than casually dismiss a lot of other people as douchebags because they like a movie I don't like. It feels a little scummy and elitest

I thought the second was good, but when I rented Tokyo Drift... well I gave up on the series... even though 4 was suppose to be really good. I guess I just grew out of them...

Also, you mention The Italian Job, one of my favorites. I actually got that movie after watching the remake. So my question simply is what did you think of the remake? and BTW, I hope to God you were joking about Speed Racer...

Why do you have such a low expectation for Cars 2? Cars 1 wasn't bad, it was just the least-good Pixar film, if that makes sense.

I can't stop laughing at the "Family, loyality, car, car etc" Also wow you mention Speed Racer (by all mean I liked the film even when it's cheesy) as the better car film than Fast Five.

I came so close to having to sit through this last night with friends. Glad to know I didn't miss anything, not that I needed you to tell me that Bob. I'm sad to say that I know we would have walked out of that movie and I would have been pointing out some of the awful things about it and my friends would have blown me off and just said, "That was great!". Cause those are the kinds of friends I have.

I thought people hated Speed Racer

Speed Racer is a much better movie than any of the "Fast" movies. It's not going to win any awards, but I can't remember the last time I had as much fun watching a movie as I did seeing Speed Racer.
