Love the flame shield at the end. I've actually watched the movies, and I enjoyed the first one, but it's a guilty pleasure, I know they are horrible, but still enjoyable in that "Starship Troopers" kind of way.

One thing I did take umbrage with was the "Avengers for Douchebags", that was uncalled for really.

No one is going to "Bring it on". Actual Fast&Furious fans aren't even going to watch this review. and even if they do would they besurprised by your words? I highly doubt it.

OT: Meh, I don't care about this movie. Might watcht eh chase scenes on youtube..... after I watch the latest My Little Pony.......yeah, THAT low....

This review was kind of like Yahtzee reviewing a Wii title: what's the point?
...
Well... he liked No More Heroes, Mario Galaxy, didn't complain to much about Red Steel 2... it's not like he gave every exclusive Wii game a bad review. And it's also not like Bob gave every silly actionmovie a bad review.
ok, bad example then

how about:
It's like Fox News reviewing an Obama speech

I've never seen any of these movies but I am disappointed that Vin Diesel never took off as an action star. I really enjoyed Pitch Black and Escape From Butcher Bay, and XXX wasn't bad so much as forgettable . . . but after the second Riddick movie I've put a fair bit of effort in to avoiding him.

I was a bit surprised by the Cars 2 bit near the end. I thought Bob worshiped Pixar?
One can worship Pixar and still feel that a movie about car secret agents is a very bad idea :D

Even though I have no intention of spending my cash to see this at the theater, I just don't see why every time Bob doesn't like a flick he has to spend so much time trashing the audience that may like it.

What is MovieBob's take on the movie 'Find me Guilty'? I would like his opinion.

Bob actually convinced me to watch this junk. I'm a sucker for crap. and pretty much everyone in this unabashedly man-movie of prepubescent fantasy proportions is a pretty good actor. Yes. Hell, even Paul Walker whom I had already written off has developed into one (Running Scared, anyone?).

I'll watch it when it comes out on home video.

I thought people hated Speed Racer
Speed Racer was a work of unqualified brilliance which failed in theaters because it operates completely outside the understated, gritty realism aesthetic which dominates modern cinema. It's not ashamed of how over the top and cartoonish it is, and if you're not afraid of viking race car driver assassins and bright colors you owe it to yourself to check it out.

Yeah this series instantly turns me off.
If I did see this movie I think I would enjoy the experience but get very little from it.
Well besides "Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaars"

I honestly don't know why. Gaping plotholes aside (seriously, did the Mach 5 ever get totaled at all? They didn't need to build the Mach 6 from scratch), that is one of my absolute favorite movies of all time.

Hey Bob, I'm a brazillian viewer and I have to say that I just loved this review. Yeah it's the same damn thing that every movie of the series has shown us and, to be honest, I'm not THAT surprised that Brazil is seen like this. For some time, the drug dealers and other, well "gangsters", were really putting terror... IN RIO DE JANEIRO. And guess what? This is being fought everyday by the police and the population in general, fighint off those bastards.

If anyone is reading this, why don't you guys give some research to "Invasão do Morro do Alemão" in Google? Or simply put, the invasion of the "morro do alemão", wich was one of the biggest favelas of the country and a massive drug dealers territory, that the police, WITH the population, put down those guys.

Bob, Iv'e always watched your show but never really made a comment. And I wonder if you watched two brazilian movies that are EXCELLENT action films, talks about fighting off drug dealers and among other things, like coprruption. The first and the Second "Tropa de Elite" movies. The first one is more of an "action" movie, and the second is more about the politics and the way the system works.

The funny thing about Brazil is the gangsters really rules the country.
You really don't know what the hell you are talking about. The violence was way bigger only in Rio de Janeiro and guess what? It is getting smaller and saffer.
No it's not a dream world, not really close to this, but Brazil is much more than its favelas. Damn, my country is bigger than you and most of the people around here know and think it is. Put that prejudice aside and before you say something sad like that, give some research boy.

Okay, I get that Bob doesn't like the movie... Or, erm, anyone who might dare to like the movie... Fine, fair enough.

But I've got to join the chorus on this one: SPEED RACER?

I'm sorry, is this movie a candy-colored migraine? You don't just casually throw out a negative comparison to f@#%ing Speed Racer.

Sidenote, my captcha was a math equation. No, seriously, I had an algebra equation of 3n/Hc(k)W Am I supposed to solve for zero or something to post?

I know Movie Bob doesn't really get to decided what he reviews on the Escapist as it's planned out long in advance, but was anyone really expecting a good review? This flash in the pan car movie is a cash in everyone was expecting. I was hoping for a Stake Land review.
