I don't think I've seen this much universal critic hatred in a single movie since Transformers. Actually, now that I think about it, I think the hatred here was worse than transformers.

the trailers to me looked bad just because the CG mask and costume are so obviously fake. it just ruined it for me
The costume looks terrible? What a surprise Hollywood! The entire internet has been saying that since you showed the damn thing. We have also been criticizing the CG since the Sinestro trailer showed up.

If you asked my inner 9-year-old what superhero he wanted to be, the answer would be Green Lantern. Hell, if you asked me right now what superhero I want to be it's gonna be Green Lantern. To see this movie desecrate the one superhero I've been able to enjoy constantly, through every part of my life... It's heartbreaking, man.
Just saw it, it was mediocre, but then again I have never read a Green Lantern comic, so I guess that's why I don't hate it as much. Not enough action scenes, too much talking. I would pay double for a movie that doesn't have any romance at all, just to shake things up a bit.
I have a feeling this is INCREDIBLY biased. Something MADE you hate this. You bash on it way too much. I think you just set your expectations millions of miles too high.
If Warner Bros is going to reboot Green Lantern after this, the only thing that they should do involving this film is to keep Mark Strong on board as Sinestro, the only good thing about the film. Also with your comment in the credits over Blake Lively having no range, I fully agree but she may get a test of her acting in next years film Hick, although it is more or less certain that she will have her scenes in that film stolen by the main star of Hick, Chloe Grace Moretz.

New to movie bob, I watched to see since Green latern hasnt been getting favoured reveiws. So popped in to see. I was mostly intrested in Ryan Rynolds to keep an eye for the wish when Deadpool movie is done (no matter how bad). So i was suprised for not only a negative reveiw. But a negative reveiw that was smart.
I mean smart as in the film may be a flameing pile of poop. Instead of alot of over fully paid and high end critics would have blasted Ryan Reynolds for being a terrible actor, as if the main star is the person that is supposed to carry the film.
Bob ackowledges that Rynolds wasnt wise for the part. Except he wasnt helped by the script,director and being green screen heavy. So I am glad Movie bob is logical even in such a rage.

Wow. That might be the most brutal review I've ever seen Bob give. Comparing something to the Shumaker Batman movies is pretty much the worst possible thing you can say about a superhero movie.
As a side note, I really don't get all the hate for the Transformers movies. Yeah, the second one sucked, but it was still kind of fun to watch once. And the first one was full of explosions, and actually pretty funny, never really taking itself seriously.
They aren't good, but they certainly aren't as bad as you're making them out to be.

And once again, Bob nearly has a heart attack from seeing another bad movie. I'll call the paramedics.
This will still make enough money to greenlight sequels (I didn't plan that pun I promise) and we will be subjected to the rest of the trilogy. I would say that I had zero expectations about this movie, but that would be a lie. I truly expected it to be horrible just from the crappy trailers. I honestly don't know how anyone watching the trailers could be "duped" into thinking this would be good. The people most pissed are the Fanboys, and lets face it, they are the most unreasonable sort on the planet to begin with. I didn't expect much, so this might make a good rental in my mind at least.
Regardless of actual opinions of the film, it is his job to "Review" films, not just berate them. If he thinks it sucks, justify it to us. I'm more inclined to believe him then. Besides, having known absolutely nothing to do with Transformers before, I quite liked the filmWoodsey said:
