But hey! Look at the bright side. Maybe Ryan Renolds can be freed from Warner Bros. And finally make that Deadpool movie with Marvel. :D

From the moment I saw the CGI costume, which looked like green licorice, I kinda had a feeling this wouldn't turn out too well.

btw. The new Superman is also going to use full CGI for the outfit... Way to go, Warner.
Ummm what happened to actually making costumes? Did the directors or producers fire the entire costume department or just say, "Hey lets save some money and just have the computer guys do that!"

It's as bad as Steel?!

Now Bob, lets not say things we can't back.
Who the heck is Steel?

And what is this about a Deadpool movie?

Reynolds has never been one for good range in the first place.

Now I have to go see it just to see how bad it is for myself.
Of course when MovieBob says a movie is bad, I usually take that with mountainous piles of salt.

Damn Bob, you were kinda channeling Yahtzee there. Only without the accent and penis jokes. I don't think I've EVER seen you this livid over a movie! Even The... the... um, that movie that came out the same weekend as Scott Pilgram with all the big stars that was bad. You know the one. You weren't that mad at even THAT movie.

Sorry it sucked so bad. But we all did get some damn funny Bob rage out of it. :)

I liked the FIRST Transformers film and Dare Devil (Electra was still aweful) I also thought the Fantastic Four films were OK. I dont always agree with you Bob but I love hearing you geek out. Honestly, western Super Hero comics in general dont interest me but I kind of guessed this would happen.

Got to feel sorry for MovieBob. Having to sit through a horrible movie after devoting two episodes of The Big Picture to it's source material. Even after watching this review, I get the feeling we still don't have a sense for exactly how pissed he is.

Wait, the costumes are CGI?

...
...
...
...why?

I didn't think the film would be amazing. I'll still probably...maybe...go and see it.
Shame, I quite like Ryan Reynolds.

So, what I'm getting from all this is.. it's bad? Is that right? Good thing I'm not a Green Lantern film to begin with, so this won't be missed.

Also what the hell is a tinker's dam? Captcha, you puzzle me.

O.O Jesus... I've NEVER seen Bob this angry. EVER.
People who've seen it: how much of this is his shattered hope, and how much is genuinely terrible?

Usually I don't care about the images to these videos (or most of the other videos on here), as I feel they tend to be just thrown out so it can be a video instead of a podcast (well, barring the clips of the movie). However, I was HIGHLY amused when he said "This film struck out" and the image was of a baseball player named "Reynolds". Good move, Bob ;) And yeah, after the Big Pictures about Green Lantern, I was actually kind of interested in seeing this. No more, I say. Alas!

Steel is a superhero movie starring Shaquille O'Neal.

Enough said.

Considering as soon as I saw the CG on Renolds I cringed. Right so all the aliens. Amazing. Main villain creature absolutely stunning. Green Lantern Hal and Sanestro?

Absolutely terrible. I had no interest in them as soon as I saw the suit on Renolds I knew I wouldn't see it. It looked fake and unimaginative and absolutely horrible.

Oh boy...I just hope Captain America's movie doesn't suck....*kneeling in prayer to the geek gods*
I wouldn't worry too much. Different comic publishers, different movie studios, different everything really.

The GL looked terrible from the moment screen images and trailers came out. The whole movie looked ugly, from the CGI backgrounds, to the CGI characters and the CGI suit.

Hopefully after Nolan is done and that next crap superman movie comes out, DC will learn and take their IPs away from the WB guys.

Ugh... the worst type of bait and switch movies...

Look at all this epic hero stuff in the trailers!*

*you've just seen the extent of all the epic hero stuff.

Man... I thought this had at least an OK chance to be good... I mean I'm no big comic book geek but I liked the character and the whole idea of the Green Lantern corps from stuff like the old Justice League cartoon... shame it ended up this way.

Hope Reynolds doesn't shy away from Deadpool now. And that Captain America is good... that's the biggest risk/reward comic book movie this summer.

Thanks for the heads up Bob, I was planning to see this with a few friends. Any good movies out this weekend?
