is it really that bad? or has this movie synergisied into all the excess DNF hate around and snowballed into crap? i know its bad...but that bad?

As a comic collector myself, i usually find 89% of bob's views true...but dayum...this sounds too rought to be true

Wow, when something sets off Bob's comic fanboy rage and his movie critic rage at the same time, he's truly a force to behold. I'm really glad his Game Overthinker rage wasn't tapped at the same time, the resulting trifecta of fury might have triggered Armageddon.

Wasn't planning on seeing this anytime soon. I know so little about the character outside of the Morrison JLA run and Women in Refrigerators, I wasn't really drawn to it anyway. Guess I'm still waiting on Harry Potter and Captain America.

woah... nerd rage!

Not that it's unjustified of course, but sorry Bob near the end I was just laughing you were raging so hard, I agreed with almost everything you said, but the sheer umbrage you were taking made me giggle.

Wow. Not surprising really, after seeing the CGI costume and the trailers I knew it wouldn't be good. Well there's always Marvel Studios' Captain America and The Avengers to look forward to.

Dare devil was good, It was well above the standard of most of the first good comic book movies anyways.

Whoa... Destroyed...

Didn't think it was THAT bad.

But come on... Daredevil wasn't that horrible. I rather liked it. But yeah... I found Bobs opinion mostly similar to mine, so i will pass on that and will watch a socket-puppet show instead, or something.

It's as bad as Steel?!

Now Bob, lets not say things we can't back.
yeah nothing was as bad as steel. of course having seen steel im firmly convinced it wasn't based on the comic book. it just happened o have everyone with the same names and backstory. And while ryan reynolds may not have been good in this movie lets remember that he can act. Shaq on the other hand cannot.

Cave Johnson here. Our lab boys are busy 24 hours a day thinking up new ways to grind beloved franchises into a gel comprosed primarily of cash. It ain't pretty, but damned if it isn't effective. Used it as toothpaste by accident this morning. Most expensive thing I've ever put in my mouth.

Thank you Bob, I was hoping you'd give me the word on Green Lantern before I wasted my money on it.

Goddamn it, Bob- you always fail to look at the bright side. I can give you one way that Green Lantern was good:

It lets young people know that regardless of the fact that they are talentless hacks, they can still be writers, directors, actors, and even cinematographers making big-budget movies! And I, personally, think that is a message to be embraced and praised.

Really you're surprised that this film blows? the trailers suck, and they suffer from the superman problem of the invincible magic super dooper character that is the purvey of most of DC's characters.

Think this is where the one-two combo of Marvel wins out, 1 their own studio built to maintain a continuity and general theme along most of its owned licences and 2 the general vulnerability of the character that makes their peril seem realistic and therefore more exciting, and the personal character flaws that make them interesting

(Also on a side note, I saw Dylan Dog the other night and I found it quite enjoyable, It may be I'd never read or even heard of the comics before that gave me a favourable perspective, but I did have fun watching that!)

And here I was hoping this movie would finally show that DC properties can be made into good superhero movies as well... Maybe DC needs to open up their own studio and do it right like Marvel did.

I'll likely still go to see it, though. Somehow, I think it can't really be as bad as he's making it out to be.

In closing; there are some movies I know I want to see, some I know I don't want to see, and some I know I'll lose $8 on. Green Lantern seems so fit on the latter category.

I haven't seen Bob this mad since his Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen review.

Also, Steel WAS a God-awful movie.

I AM still interested in seeing this movie, but I'll wait until it becomes available in the dollar theater.
