OK I really, really wanted this to be good. I have a Hal Jordon poster on my wall and a selection on lantern corps rings on my desk. Seriously this is perhaps my favourite comic book of all time, and to find out its bad.
And the fact its coming from 'Bob is even worse, whatever else you say about him he knows his comics. I think I'll go see it (just to be sure, like looking at car wreck), but yeah I'll give it a week.

I admit, that scene you made of the actor's floating head in Robots made me laugh. I'll probably say that it's better than the movie itself if it sucks, I might see it with my friends. If I do, hell, even if I don't I'll just show them that clip. However, I try to remain open until I see/read/play/eat something. Okay, probably not the eat, I'm a very picky eater.
So much promise, destroyed.... I was hoping a review I read of earlier was just being pretentious. You know, the best thing DC comics does, besides Batman movies, are animated shows and movies. Marvel has a tendency towards better films, but their animated series and movies are mostly shit.... if only we could have a combination of the two.
In any event, I got my girlfriend all worked up by making her watch the two excellent Green Lantern animated moveis, now I am going to have to disappoint her by telling her we can't see it.

I honestly didn't see this one coming. It actually looked promising. Even if it is the worse movie in history of man it will still earn a shitload of money and come up as No1 in Box Office. Like that abomination of Transformers 2.
For all the of poor trailers, bad press, ret-conning and overall generic-looking material, I'm astounded that the film's quality came as a surprise.
Maybe they should have just done the whole Sinestro's fall from grace story.
I actually thought the fact they where not doing that story was a good idea. But jumping right in to the stuff about Parallax. That just screams plot moving to fast and in way that can't be told right.
But I will hold out hope for next time for I am a Blue Lantern.
