I never found hit-girl to be depraved in the way you put it bob. To me, she feels like, "what if the punisher got a hold of robin before batman did? And if he was a girl".

Loved it, went a couple of days ago. Everything from the awesome fight scenes, the dark humor, Hit girl being the most awesome character since ever and to quote YZ the balls tinglingly fantastic ending. I agree with MovieBob go, get up and go now its worth it :D

Given the presence of Adam West in pop culture in recent years due to Family guy and to a lesser extent, Fairly Odd Parents, I'd be suprised if anyone under twenty who was into comic book movies did'nt get the references. I for one utterly loved the transformation from odd father to even odder superhero

Huh. Is this the worst marketing job ever, or what? I had no idea what the movie was about-- I thought it was a KIDDIE flick FFS.

I imagine that I'm not the only one: anyone who isn't familiar with the comic book probably has a mistaken impression about the movie if they go solely by the commercials... (I suppose a trailer might clarify things more.)
Actually no, it didn't(or at least for me I didn't). The commercials and trailers gave me an first(false) impression, and Bob's review a totally different perspective to the film. Too bad I won't be able to go see it and clarify things for the next 2 or 3 weeks :(

I enjoyed the Kick-Ass comic so I was already going to see the movie this weekend, but it's good to hear you being positive about it.

I can't wait to see it. :)
There even was a comic?! Wow! would you mind telling me if it;s worth reading it after one sees the movie?

The hit right at the end looks pretty brutal. I'm going to give this a try, but the mentions of ultra-violence make me worried about just how strong it gets.

It's not the best comic ever, but it's worth reading, yeah. Especially if you like the movie.

I really enjoyed the film and utterly agree on every single thing you said. I just saw the movie yesterday and got a kick out of the spiderman-esque characters and the general comedy of the entire movie. The action sequences were also spectacular! I enjoyed waching Big Daddy go to work.

Good job Bob!

Well between MovieBob and Fatboy over on Cracked, this movie has gotten a very good rating, so based on that, I'll probably go see it when I'm back home. Gotta do something there...

Well, Bob, once you start telling me to watch The Watchmen as a deep, introspective, moving piece of masterwork cinema, I just discredited you right there.

Watchmen was one long boring journey through emo-cry-moar-land with two really cool fight scenes.

I watched Kick Ass, loved it, I don't think I've laughed so much at a movie in years.

I really liked Kick-ass. Firstly, the soundtrack was brilliant - the use of the Prodigy was appreciated.

I thought it was a good film, best i've seen in a while.
