I was just going with what other people said. I'm just here to reference Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series, Binky Boy.Mr.Tea said:Hawkeye16 said:Dat Brooklyn Accent Makes it dificult to consentrate on card games.bikeninja said:heh, Bobs got his angry New York accent again.Freebird. said:Wow, your Brooklyn accent's really strong in this one. I doubt that. Ofcourse you'll have your fair share of critics for the sake of opposing the popular stuff, but the claims of derivative story are well founded and I wouldn't resent anyone for bringing them up.Dark Templar said:Here here.Onyx Oblivion said:Thank god you understand that Avatar's plot is fine. Seriously, if you only have a few movies to compare the plot to after 50+ years of movies, you've got a decent plot.
Everyone who keeps pointing out that avatars plot has been done before is just railing against a popular movie for the sake of looking "cool" on the internet. Imo.
It was remarkably well presented, visually spectacular, the characters and settings where remarkably fleshed out. Even if it is just dances with wolves again its on of the best dances with wolves movies out there.

I haven't seen it yet but I know that the author has had several other books made into movies, and he only lets that happen if the movie stays pretty damn true to the book. So since the book was great, the movie should be too.MancalaManiac said:I haven't seen the movie yet, but I had to read the book for a Lit class a few years ago and it was phenomenal! Probably my favorite piece that we read in that class. I can see why they made it into a movie. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie, but I'm also a little hesitant because I've been let down by movies made from books I loved. Has anyone else who's read the book see it yet? Did it live up to your expectations?
By the way, I loved the Boston accent! Nice touch.
I'm pretty sure it's Boston. If I'm correct, accusing him of being from New York may make him angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry...Freebird. said:Wow, your Brooklyn accent's really strong in this one. Anyway, I haven't heard of this movie before but it looks good.
