Took me all of 20 seconds to figure out this was a joke. Still quite funny. "Wommy Tisau"....Nicely done.

But...Wait a minute, since when was JJ Abram's Star Trek a "gritty reboot"? It wasn't dark at all. Was that part of the joke?

Damn it bob! I was hoping this was real... then you mentioned the non-actor from Jersey Shore and I knew this had to be a hoax. Getting my hopes up, only to let them fall into the bottomless bit below.

It was obvious before I even clicked on the link.

Come on guys, you need to do something more subtle. This is weak, but still a funny watch.
Agreed. I suspected it form the start, and had it confirmed when he said it was a positive experience. If he had played his cards a little better I think I could have believed some of it, but really, I expected this ever since Thinkgeeg advertised they're having a competetition where the winner gets a Virtual Boy and a $1000 gift certificate.

Wow Bob, that was all mega convincing, like every last bit of it, so I guess its safe to assume that was all fake, which makes me sad.

Pretty clever, but isn't the point of an April Fools joke to, you know, fool? This was too unsubtle to be believed even before you started watching it ^^

It's great that you fooled a few people. I loved the Tommy Wiseau bit. The sad thing is though, apart from Tommy Wiseau, this whole thing is kinda plausible. I doubt Nintendo would ever do this (again) but if they did greenlight a Mario movie, this is probably close to how it'd go down.

Ok I feel like a real idiot...

It took me five whole minutes before I even realised this wasn't real... not until Bob started talking about "5D" did I twig... Seriously though, Hollywood would totally do something like this.

I just can't get the hang of April Fool's day.

note to nintendio lay off the smack really this has bad idea written all over it i'll be surpissed is this flim even recoupe half of its cost(yes i'm well aware that nintendio is full of surpisess.) BTW why super mario and not say mertiod, zelda, or star fox(not a fan of any of these franchise but still)this just sounds bad before i seen the first tralleir.
I hope this was a sarcastic post to continue the April Foolery. Loved the tie backs to the lame Avengers hinting, and the 2D,3D,5D skip over of 4D that my shaver seems to have taken.

Love ya Bob!

The moment you mentioned "The Situation" I raised an eyebrow. I almost completely forgot what day it was. Of course, I can only imagine that sometime down the road someone will make a Super Mario Bros movie with this as it's premise. Just see what happened to Duke Nukem Forever.

This is an insult to all physics nerds out there as the 4th dimension is the layer of time, while 5D is different realities.

I still can't believe it took so long for people to figure out it was a joke. I mean it was unrealistic from the start.

I mean come on, why would Nintendo ask Bob of all people to come over to check out production for their theoretical movie?

Preposterous.

Actually Bob, I believe I have been to the similar screening, but instead of Smash initiative the last scene portrayed the CGI ghost of Captain Lou Albano in a long flowing brown robe placing the palm of his hand onto his face...

What that gesture means is anybodys guess.
