I finally caught this movie this evening, and loved it.

Yeah, there are a lot of flaws. The casting could have been better (except for Kato, Jay Chou was incredible, and the main villain), some story elements were just unnecessary, but dammit, this movie was absolutely badass. The Black Beauty was gorgeous, the action was constant and campy in the best possible way, and it was just plain funny at times as well. It was definitely worth seeing, especially with friends.

But yeah, I agree with the video about the 3D. It was completely worthless, don't spend the extra four bucks, even though the glasses are snazzy.

Saw it last night.

Honestly, it was actually pretty good. I liked the Hornet/Kato dichotomy and they played into it quite well, in a way that, pleasantly, reminded me of BT in LC.

There were some genuine laughs and the action sequences were, mostly, well done. I'd recommend it. Just don't expect it to be The Dark Knight or anything, because that's not at all what it appears to be going for.

I agree, wholeheartedly, that Diaz was unnecessary. Although, she wasn't so much a love interest as a distraction and a means to inflate the script. She genuinely doesn't serve much of a purpose outside of lending the plot some logical breathing room.

The 3D was largely unnecessary as well. I swear, I don't really see the appeal...just makes things fuzzier and, occasionally, pop out at you. Hooray for expensive gimmicks.

I saw this movie on Sunday, and while I was not quite sure what to expect I quite enjoyed.

My favourite part of the film was Jay Chou, who is quite hot with his mask, driving gloves and kung-fu movies.

I have to say that I was very unimpressed with the 3DX though. When I go to watch 3D movies, I want to be scared, have things fly out at me, jump out of my seat e.t.c. The 3D was very poorly used, this movie could have been 2D and it would make no difference.

In the Dark Knight film (which I went to see aah, 6 times, ahem) I can remember how everyone jumped when a certain character did something unforgettable with a pencil. When is comes to 3D, I want to experience that same kind of shock.
