Going froma discussion on transexuals to then say "Drop the ball" made me laugh harder than this film probably will.

Its sad to see them make sequels just for a quick cash grab instead of just trying to make a good movie.
That's what signifies the difference between people who make films because they want to make a good film, and people who make films for no reason other then to squeeze as much cash as they can from what they presume to be a gullible moviegoing public. One film actually turns out to be good, so of course they hastily rush out a sequel.

Why do you keep reviewing movies you saw that you didn't like, if you are not going to give a full review? Why didn't you review bridesmaid 2 if you liked it? Oh, I know why; you wanted to complain yet again about all this money funding sure fire hits, and not that weird obscure garbage you are peddling.
Simple. Because this show isn't called "Listen to Bob Talk About Movies He Liked" Bob is a CRITIC. He's supposed to watch a variety of films and talk about the good and the bad. The show would be boring if he just talked about movies that he loved, and that would lead to even more people say he's just biased.

Sorry if this is a double post
If you think all a critic does is say bad things, you are a simpleton.
I don't believe I ever said anything along those lines. I was simply pointing out that a critic doesn't only review movies that they liked. You're the one who made it sound like Bob should only spend time critiquing movies that he liked.

Oh and Thor wasn't the only recently critiqued movie he liked. He also liked Trollhunter

Damn it Bob. Whenever I start respecting you, you always pull some lame shit like that story time, and your impersonation of dude bros. It's not clever, it's what high school nerds do when they want to look clever.

More on topic, did anyone actually think this movie was anything more than a cash cow?

I don't mind cash grab sequals, where especially a tale can be told over popcorn, like Transformers and Priates, but the Hangover was good because of it's sensationalism. And it's rawness. It didn't seem ripe for a sequal. I think Bridesmades was the "sequal", original, similar premise (well, sort of), but very funny.. See that before this I bet.

I'm impressed you even understood Attack the Block beyond cinematography, because its just so damn British. I think its the only truly British film to come out in the past few years that's not playing off old English stereotypes and shows our... Uh... "glorious" culture for what it is. Should have reviewed it; It really the deserves the attention - I didn't even know it was showing in 'Merica.

That's all well and good, but I think we're missing the main question here. That is to say, "is it fun to watch drunk?" That's the only way I could stomach the first, so maybe this one's the same.

For a community ostensibly centered around catering to nerd interests, seems like a lot of the feedback comes from dudebros.

It's like they had to sneak in a Community reference somehow... (Although Community was going to have John Oliver be the main teacher for the first season, but then The Hangover got huge and they had to get Ken Jeong.)

is it me, or are all the big movies for the next couple of months either sequels or reboots or adaptations
That can be said of any recent period of cinema history.

The intro to this was brilliant. I don't think anyone thought after this movie was announced that it'd ever amount to anything other than a cash grab piggy backing off the success of the last one.

He's probably hoping to save people some money by telling them not to go see the big name movie over the little one, I have no idea what the hell Bridesmaids is and it's probably going to leave the cinema without me noticing either. Though I agree to a point that I'd like to see more positive reviews about movies he thinks we should see, rather than ones we shouldn't*

*That being said I've never listened to a critic about anything in my life.
