So, they did what "Harold and Kumar" did with their sequel? Making it mean spirited and more racial.

Never seeing the first one, but hearing about it and seeing even the "part 2" in the title, it was as obvious as the new Pirates of the Caribbean that it wasn't planned to exist and was just a quick way to get money from fans...

Why do you keep reviewing movies you saw that you didn't like, if you are not going to give a full review? Why didn't you review bridesmaid 2 if you liked it? Oh, I know why; you wanted to complain yet again about all this money funding sure fire hits, and not that weird obscure garbage you are peddling.
Why do you comment on a contributor that you clearly don't like, and wouldn't give a chance even if you agreed with the sentiments? Like ALL critics, he reviews popular films that are currently out. End.

The Hangover was great. The second I heard there was going to be a sequel, I just sighed and shook my head. These are dark times for us indeed.

Its sad to see them make sequels just for a quick cash grab instead of just trying to make a good movie.
Was this new to you? Welcome to the world.

Satisfying review. I didn't like the first one at all. It was vulgar, crude, had douchy characters and just wasn't all that funny.

And fuck, I still have that ad for this movie playing in my head, thanks to Gametrailers.com. "We're the three best friends that anyone could have, and we'll never..." AAAAAAAH SHUT UP!!
No it is not news to me. I have known about this for a long time. Reason being why I dont watch most new movies.

I liked the "Story Time with MovieBob" segment. Was anyone else reminded of this early Monty Python bit [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8eE6SpVA5I&playnext=1&list=PL2DF67F7764FC3883] when they watched today's review?

You're looking for social commentary in a movie called THE HANGOVER?

Bob, you should just preface your reviews with a note saying:

"Yes, this is one of THOSE movies--the ones I personally don't like so if you go see it and enjoy it, I will label you an idiot and blame you for bad movies."

OR

"I liked this movie, so it's either a surefire hit anyway (superhero movies), some foreign film that most people will gloss over ('cause they're idiots), or a movie that's going to bomb at the box office because stupid people (like you) don't appreciate things like I do."
Accidental social commentary does happen in dumb movies, even if it's racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, w/e. It doesn't matter that they're stupid messages; millions of people will see them and I wouldn't be surprised if half of the dumb fucks out there believed them.

He wasn't looking for social commentary, he was looking for some laughs, which he obviously didn't receive. And I don't know what you want a critic to do if he PERSONALLY doesn't like a movie....praise it anyway?

*shrugs* I like the movie, and yes I did laugh at the transsexual scene. I knew it was coming, but I enjoyed the reactions of the Wolfpack.

And to me, the monkey was much funnier than the baby. Sure it may be a reheated left-over, but I knew what I was walking into. The only real portion I didn't enjoy was the shrugging off of the missing appendage later on. That seemed lazy.
yeah i was wondering about that near the end. i also found alans character to be more aggravating than funny this time around
Though thinking about it....sodomy was panicked about in the film whereas the finger wasn't from the dude who lost it. But I would like to know what the reviewer would do if he found out he was sodomized while under the influence.

To be fair, I didn't like the first one
/This.

Perhaps its because I watched a real comedy right before I watched Hangover. (Thank you Zombieland) But the Hangover just didn't hit me like it hit everyone else around me. I watched it again to see if I was missing anything. I wasn't and the movie was not getting any better.
Perhaps if I had been drunk..... really drunk.

Anyway I saw that this was coming out and entered a state of indifferent. That state has not improved or worsened to this point.

Thank You Movie Bob. Great Review as almost always.

I had the feeling this was going to be the case when I saw Cracked's article comparing the trailers.

My suspicions were confirmed when I saw Brad Jones' midnight screening blog entry.

Now MovieBob puts the cherry on top with that hilarious little story. Great job, as always, Bob.

I love how people defending this or attacking Bob are completely ignoring the fact that they are just proving that they're willing to pay for the same exact movie twice.

So yeah: you totally suck Bob, for not liking what everyone else likes.[/sarcasm]

Have to agree with moviebob on this, this film was garbage. The only saving grace was that I watched it at a friends house thanks to questionable legal aquirement and saved myself 8 quid or so.

Glorious part about knowing people that work at a theater is getting in for free every once in a while. That said frog and rabbit got none of my money, good luck making it rain all up in that again.

Great intro there Bob.
Figured that this is how the sequel would be when I first saw the trailer for it.
Think this is gonna be one I'm avoiding.

In the slightly re-worded words of Jon Stewart:

Thanks for pronouncing 'upper-middle class' the same way one would pronounce 'dildo'.

Same goes for 'bro movie'. Seriously, I'm just watching these reviews now to laugh at how big of a doucher Moviebob is. He constantly rails against things like homophobia and racism, which is perfectly fine. The regular 'Republican approach' to those subjects is just as disgusting as Moviebob believes, and he's rightfully outraged. But you know what I consider even worse? Saying you're against bigotry and pretending to be compassionate, so (you believe) other groups will think you're unlike those other white, well-off people, while simultaenously being just as bigoted against other groups. Specifically, reliogous people, southern people, and white people. Remember when he railed on 'The Blind Side'? Why? Because its main characters were the ideals of the strong, independent, Southern woman with Christian values? Thats some people Moviebob, they're not any worse or better than you, they're just different, and that's okay. What about 'Book of Eli'? One of you're biggest complaints was your belief that the premise of carrying a Bible was stupid. Why? Some people consider that book to be more important than any other, because its spiritual effect on society is more important than another books scientific knowledge would be. I'm not one of those people, neither are you. But they're allowed to have a movie about what they believe, and you can't objectivly declare that stupid.

You're just as bigoted, prejudiced, and wrong as that scene in The Hangover Part II
