Honestly, with the exception of Beast Wars I'm used to my Transformers interacting with humans so the military stuff and all the Leboofyness never really bothered me. That being said, if the twins (the most racist robots ever) are in this movie then I'm not seeing it. But I bet there will be another "black" robot in it who is equally annoying.

when I saw the trailer I already knew it was going to be bad.
Also if Bay want,s to make a movie with robots and pretty much humps a tank why doesn't he make a MSG movie? set somewhere on earth during the OYW something like the 08th MS team but more focused on the EFGF. just let Katoki design the mech,s and give the original writer a ruler to flick his hands if he removes too much of the mech,s it might work. (I hope)

On a related note:

I think that people taking issue with Bob insulting the people who enjoy these movies is fair. I'd even go so far as to say that I think that people criticizing those wishing harm upon Bay is fair. I think he's terrible and I think his movies are terrible, but I'm not going to say I want him to be "raped by hobos" or anything.

What I do take issue with is the people who are saying that Bob is trying to be Yahtzee. If these two shows were hosted on different sites, I can pretty much guarantee you that no one would be accusing Bob of trying to take after Yahtzee, because it's not like Yahtzee invented over-the-top-insult-the-audience, rhetorical, verbal masturbation. It's just that he's more famous for it among this forum's community.

Wait, he didn't like it?

I'm surprised.

Honestly. I saw it last night and enjoyed it.

Can we drop the pretence that we go to these movies for any semblance of plot? We go to them to 3 hours of robots and explosions. I was happy paying £8 for night of splosions.
That's the problem, though. You do not get "a night of explosions" when you see this movie- you get ninety minutes of uninspired yet schizophrenic plot, followed by a few explosions, most of which take place in the background while the unlikable characters continue with the uninspired yet schizophrenic plot.

In the words of Roger Ebert, "It's not what a movie is, it's how it's about it." This is a bad "explosion" movie.
How is he

Or these guys...

Unlikable? I mean Honestly?

According to IMDB he is the voice of Sentinel Prime. Didn't Nimoy voice Galvatron in the 80's animated movie?

I've had my disagreements with Bob in the past. I definitely don't agree with him on Cars.

But his voice during the last half...

I'm feeling sorry for him.

*manly hug* It's over Bob. There won't be another one. It's over now.

[sub]Please God, let it be over[/sub]
......>).....
Transformers 4: Bay wants more money, and army footage to wank to.

If he's allowed to, and can make more money, then you better believe he'll make another. He doesn't care about the actors leaving, and he pretty much said he didn't really care about "the Transformers". He'll keep making the movies until people stop going to see them.
Depressing? Yes.
True? Hell Yes!
Keep hugging Bob. He'll need the love to help cool down the rage. :( As a matter of fact. Me too. *Joins Man Hug*

This film was one step forward and two back.
For everything I liked there was so much more for me to moan and groan about.
But hey Shockwave looked like Shockwave.

Editum: Movie was still a rather big pile of arse make no mistake of my opinion, this franchise could be so much more if they gave to someone WHO CARED FOR THE FRANCHISE.

I.E. War for Cybertron, the game is average, run of the mill, functional but i don't care because they gave it so much character and little nods to the 80's series demonstrating the fact they cared even if the game wasn't all that great.
imagine:
"Kenneth Branaugh's 'Transformers'"

i think that would be epic!
Considering how much I loved Thor from tip to tail, I would totally get behind this.

I always hope a lot of people see your good, honest reviews.
Now I am unsure if episodes like this warning against crap (and thus, wasting valuable money and lining pockets with it that do not deserve this), or ones that might get a few more tickets sold for an actually great underappreciated jewel, are the ones that are the best.

I guess you yourself favor warning people, Bob?
Considdering you do a lot of warning (a great public awareness service :) )...

Wrong. http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/785702/transformers_4_definitely_happening_without_michael_bay.html

Hasbro confirmed there would be more back in Feb, However Michael Bay may not be directing it.

So, people who like movies you don't shouldn't be allowed to vote? Wow. That's almost as bad as saying people who enjoy certain kinds of hip hop are a good reason for legalized abortion.

I didn't think it was possible to have this much bile for people who share different tastes than your own.
Its an intentional overstatement for comedic effect.

I think it's justified considering that Hollywood take ticket sales for this bucket-load of drivel as an incentive to cash in on another sequel/rip off/disaster/waste of money. They truly are awful films inspiring the trend of awful films.

Bob's nº1 rule: "You can make a good movie out of anything"
Bob's nº2 rule: "Whenever I review a film I don't like I have to blatantly insult whoever may like it at least once"

Nice Batallion Wars reference :)

The thing that puzzles me about this is ditching Orci and Kurtzman for a solo job by Kruger. All reports seem to indicate that Kruger was responsible for Skids and Mudflap, while Orci was the one trying to put on the serious pants to balance out Kruger and Bay. "Oh, but Kruger knows Transformers fiction." Yeah, so do I but I wouldn't presume to replace the two most sought-after nerds in Hollywood right now. Kruger, maybe, but not Orci and Kurtzman.

How is it that Transformers Animated is the only decent treatment of the franchise since the original animated film?

I am reminded of Bill Hicks's bit-- "People say, 'Don?t be hard on the New Kids [on the Block], Bill. They?re good kids. They?re role models.' When did banality and mediocrity become good examples for your children? They are demons sent to the earth to LOWER THE STANDARD."

And so it goes.
Two bona fide Hicks videos coming up, sir!

And so the message spreads...
Fantastic.

Though it should be noted; those videos have extremely NSFW language.

Will someone else be writing it too?

Because there is plenty of blame to go around here.
