Ahh, that sounds fun as hell.
Damn not living in Australia.

Why doesn't everyone come to me? The largest laser tag in the world is fifteen minutes from my house.

Alright if I find someway to get from Eastern Canada to Sydney in December, then I am totally in for this. I am pretty sure I have the money to do it, its just that school may be just ending around there so I might be busy with that. After finally reading about the last one and finding this one, I am super excited and hope I can get involved with this one.
Oh man, it'd be freaking awesome to have you over. This only goes for one day however, so I'm not sure it'd be worth the expense. Comes down to what you're willing to fork out really.
That is a valid point, but if I get myself to Sydney there is no way I am only staying there for only one day. I will probably go for the get together, have the time of my life, and then stay around in Sydney for a couple more days or something. Right now I have the money, the only thing stopping me is University. haha

There's cheap accommodation for students around the area. You'd best check with your uni about dates because visa applications are a *****.

Put me down as a maybe. I haven't been to any of the previous escapism events, but I feel like I should've gone.

I'm not going to be able to make it. That week is my last for school and exams follow right after so I can't afford to miss any time. I was really looking forward to it...=( Maybe I'll catch the next one.

I know the feeling, but I figure I'll study like mad then take that one day off. I've got a bunch of exams around that time so my base drive will be "Must have some free time!"

Well, it's been a while. I was thinking about what the UK people did with t-shirts and a possibility came to me.

What we do is everyone brings a dark-coloured shirt, either new or old, but blank. I'll bring a pattern cut out and ready to use some bags or something and a plastic board to work with. At some point during the day when we're chilling out for lunch we buy a spray bottle and some bleach, then use the pattern to spray all the shirts. Letting the bleach work for about oh.. 15 minutes should be long enough, then just wash them out and continue on with the day.

Personally, with no disrespect to everyone here. The only people who could possibly top this would be the Americans. Since it would be much more of a feat for them to get it arranged. But the important thing is to have fun of course ^-^
I agree with you completely.

I wish America could have one. Oh well, have fun at Escapism everyone!

Hey! Hey listen!

December 5th is the Newcastle Zombie Run, from midday until 4pm. More details here [http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=170698694428]. Basic deal is I was wondering if we should have our Escapism at it. Come as zombies, that kind of thing, chill out for the day.

It would be undoubtedly epic. In keeping with the Escapism Sydney tradition, of course.

Heya Lab, I won't be able to come to this one sorry. I'm very poor at the moment, having to pay off a violin as well as some debts the parents finally wanted cash for, and I've got a good friends 21st that night anyway.

AAUUUGGGHHH! The last one was so good! It's a pain to have to miss this one! I'll be there in spirit then... uh... somehow.

Wish Krunky a happy birthday from me as well.

Sounds good.

Is the final plan for the event finalised? I've missed out quite a lot here.
Nah, I'm still working on that. (Whoops.)

At the moment I've got three basic ideas:

Laser tag and bowling (Same as Escapism '09 I)
Paintball
Zombie Shuffle.

Coolio, have you got a general fix on price? I've noticed I've been splurging quite a bit of money lately.

Still December 5th? Aww...

I now have a birthday, a performance and Escapism all on the same day, 4 assessments due the Monday after, and on top of all that, a zombie-themed party in Newcastle that I'm certain to miss?

Well, there's always next year.

DAMMIT! Sydney's to far for me. Id need to take a week of or fly. Curse the Australian continent! Unless somebody else south of Melbourne is going.

Well last time it cost $38 per person for laser tag and bowling. I don't know what the paintball would cost but it's likely to be a whole lot more. The Shuffle is free, just provide your own costume and food.
