[HEADING=1]ESCAPISTS![/HEADING]
[HEADING=2]It's that time again.[/HEADING]
For those of you who aren't aware, I have a [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.80224-Escapism-Oh-Ate-a-Labyrinths-Tale#1042067] long [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.162684-Escapism-09-II-A-Labyrinths-Tale-3#4181469] history [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.183594-Escapism-Sydney-2010-A-Labyrinths-Brainssssss#5496855] of bothering other Escaparinos with my presence by planning meet-ups in the Sydney area. I intend to do so again and am looking for expressions of interest from people willing to put up with my puns for the day and potentially get involved in whatever Epic Shenanigans we can cook up this time.
The Date: Saturday 2nd July
The Time: 10 am until late
The Place: Sydney Haymarket City Hunter net cafe, meeting at Central Railway Station
The Activity: Net Cafe Day + dinner and drinks later on
The Shenanigans: Undefined
The People: Whoever is willing to show up
The Price: Around $30 for the day of gaming + food + drinks (18+)
Initial meeting will be at Central Railway Station, top floor, tables in the main foyer outside Hungry Jacks and such. For the activity, I am going to book an internet cafe in the city for a day. That event is open to all ages. Afterwards, around 7pm or so, it's off to dinner and drinks. The dinner will be at a restaurant, but the drinks will likely be in a bar, so the latter part will be 18+.
One proviso on the age thing. I'm happy to meet concerned parents as the organiser but they need to know, and I'll explicitly tell them, that I'm not taking responsibility for anyone. If you're along for this you're considered autonomous when it comes to how you behave. This is a friendly, informal event not a convention.
The Epic Shenanigans is a tradition of Sydney Escapisms. First, it was the attempted kidnapping of popular Escapist personality Gerald [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.80087-Escapism-update-We-have-Gerald#1035099]. Later events have included a gender bluff by a foremost user of the time, an epic war with another website carried out in the Laser Tag arena and the entire glorious carnival of amusement which was a zombie march. Who knows, or dares to dream, what could happen next?
So, Escapists, I want YOU to be in SYDNEY. Will you answer the call?
