Oh sweet Jesus.

We need a new hotel, if you can't find one that's super cheap... Find a damn camp site, and we'll get some tents. That'll be cheaper, and it'll be summer. And funtime. Fun fun fun.
That's actually a possible plan b.
I'll need to know a vague price point aswell as how many we're expecting.

when i went to london with school once we stayed at a Norton Inn, i dunno if those are any cheaper?
Well I'm on the hunt right now, will check if there are any of those in teh vicinity.
Well you can get a 6 man tent for about £20. People were planning on spending like £40 EACH on a hotel. If we allocate £150 for camping equipment and campsite rent, then if we get 10 people (which we will) it's only £15 each. And we'll probably have more than 10 people to chip in, I've had maybies off about 20 people, and definites off 10.

We could make this a camping trip!

We could, and from what I've seen on my scouting trips into the hotel market, we may have to, I'll keep checking though.
Camping does sound fun though.

I dunno what areas you guys are looking in, but it would probably be well worth your while staying further out from central london. You can stay the night in some slightly grubby 2 star east london place for around 20-35 quid each. Even factoring in train fares, it would still be cheaper.

Three or four people so far from Scotland, they're getting a bus from Glasgow together. You up for it?

If you read the original post, I've linked the page where someone is sorting Scottish travel.

I'm really interested, but I know for a fact as soon as I meet up with everyone I'll either become really loud and annoying, or really quiet and boring.
I'M SHY OKAY

So, erm... let's just assume for the moment that my family will have paid off all the bills and loans, and that I won't be (semi-)nocturnal three months from now. I don't want to bother my mum, so I'd probably try to get a taxi to the nearest airport(which is an hour-and-a-halfs drive away). I don't even know what I'd do from there, but I imagine I'd have to get a train or a bus to Kings Cross.
Doing this sort of thing by myself will be quite new to me, being the socially stunted shut-in I am. I'm really interested in going, but to be honest, I'm a little nervous here, guys.

Oh fantastic another Irishman, we could meet up in Dublin and get the plane together, strength in numbers!

I was actually thinking of asking you if we could perhaps meet up and get the same plane. I'd probably have to wake up at some ungodly hour to get a train, but it'd feel less scary travelling with someone else.
