I'M SHY OKAY

So, erm... let's just assume for the moment that my family will have paid off all the bills and loans, and that I won't be (semi-)nocturnal three months from now. I don't want to bother my mum, so I'd probably try to get a taxi to the nearest airport(which is an hour-and-a-halfs drive away). I don't even know what I'd do from there, but I imagine I'd have to get a train or a bus to Kings Cross.
Doing this sort of thing by myself will be quite new to me, being the socially stunted shut-in I am. I'm really interested in going, but to be honest, I'm a little nervous here, guys.
Oh fantastic another Irishman, we can meet up in Dublin and get the plane together, strength in numbers!
Problem solved! You'll go with Smiling Kitsune, and we'll all have superfuntime.
Well he is in Cork so he'll have to get a train up (pretty pricey), but surely that's better than going alone.

I was actually thinking of asking you if we could perhaps meet up and get the same plane. I'd probably have to wake up at some ungodly hour to get a train, but it'd feel less scary travelling with someone else.
Yeah, airports are much better when you're not alone.

It's much more embarrassing for me, though, being seventeen, male and fat like a hippo with a fondness for biscuits huge.

Oh well, at least I have a fantastic coat.

Speaking of which, if I do manage to go, I'll be recognisable by the black trencoat I tend to wear out to places.

Yeah, I can't find anything good...

We could continue the search tomorrow if you're tired.

Just a note. About 4 days before the event itself, PM all the people who said they would go. It turned out that 3 people who had, couldn't, and that enabled me to get additional people in on the action.

Oh, book a restaurant if you have more than 4 people going.

Some of us are making it a weekend job. Hooray. Accommodation is proving tricky though.

We may have to split up into a couple of bnbs, there just doesn't seem to be one that can accomodate all of us.
And yeah I think I'll bow out for the night, goodnight all ^_^.

Backpacker hotels are your friend. They rarely give a damn about people turning up at odd hours of the morning, wasted, and while the rooms are not the best, they're cheap and ideal for a night or two.

Otherwise, find a friend in London upon who's couch you can pass out. You never know, there could be an overly altruistic individual hiding, just waiting for a bunch of internet people to make a suggestive remark at their furniture about how to spend and evening.

Haha. Another idea we had was buy a few tents and find a campsite.

I like that idea.

as long as we stay within small groups anyway :p
we could split into travel groups, then everyone whose traveling together can go to the same hotel XD at least then people wouldnt have to walk to the hotels by themselves
