Anyone planning on taking a train following the Norwich to london liverpool street route?
I'd imagine that's probably how I'd get there.
Okay first off, does norwich trainstation remind you of the opening scene of half life 2, I swear me and my mate went through and kept muttering quotes eg "pick up the can" to each other

Secondly and more on track, shout which train your getting, If I'm gonna get lost in the london tubes I'm damn well not doing it alone.

I'd like to do some sort of laser quest/zzap zone (or whatever name you call it by) thing, but I don't know how many are up for that or how easy it is to find a place that does it in London.
Sorry but the only one i can find is in Bromley, and it really is not that great a venue, once you have actually found it that is, done a number of trips there with different social groups. weaponry and hit pads are stupidly erractic.

I remember back in the day when the Trocadero was good... Back when they had the Pepsi Max Drop going down the middle.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to come. It would cost me a bomb to get to London (flights from Jersey to Gatwick, Bus to the nearest tube station and then tube to meet you guys), let alone activities and stay for a couple of days. That said, I'm spending a week with a mate in Surrey, so I might see what I can do...

Okay everyone, my search for a place to stay goes on and taking the advice of (the ever-wise) Labyrinth, I'm looking into backpacking hostels, they're a lot more affordable than anything else I've seen, so what are your thoughts, sound like a good idea?

Awesome idea. Go for it.

Try the Youth Hostel Association. They're pretty cheap.

I've found a place in king's cross which is pretty cheap, the only problem is I don't want to start booking for a while, since it's in July and more people may want to come.
I'll have to set a dead-line for those who want to join the weekend team.

I'd join in the whole weekender, just get me some prices for what we're doing and where we're staying...
I've got a friend who'd be willing to join in, but he isn't one of us, a distant admirer of the escapist, but not a member, if that is no matter of course...

Right, so I've asked my mum, and she wants to discuss things because she's worried about my health. I have ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and she's afraid that over an action packed weekend, I might crash.
I've told her that I could tell you guys I may have to head back to the hotel/hostel/campsite/whatever early if I get too tired, but she's still worried about sending me over on my own. She mentioned coming over with me, but she's sick too, and I don't want her to hurt herself.
So yeah, that's my situation. The fact that she's considering it like this rather than just giving a flat out no means she's leaning towards a yes. Put me down as a probably.

EDIT: Have just been told to look for flights. I think that's a yes.

Just get him to create an account, another member's cousin signed up last night and will be coming.
As for prices, nothing is set in stone yet, we still have to get a tally of how many people will be there, for now have Ago Iterum put your name on the list of people coming.

This sounds awesome. :) If I were to go, I'd be travelling from Brighton. Anyone else from that kind-of area?
I am. I'm a bit tempted to go to this thing as well, I need to go to London that weekend anyway.

If its just bowling or something then it shouldn't be too strenous should it? My mum's got ME so I know how much of a pain in the arse it is, but I'm sure everyone wouldn't just leave you alone in London.
