I mostly go by Mulatto-american. I put it on all paperwork i can. We Mulatto-Americans dont get enough coverage in the global scheme of things. Products are always aimed at Caucasians or African-americans. But what about what Mulatto-americans want huh? We dont get a say in things?

White British. Granted I'm at least one 8th French, but traditionally that merely serves to make me more British. Other than that the furthest afield I have family members from is Newcastle.

i identify as a 'spectator'. but if you're interested in my body, it's classified as human. if you're interested in my dna, i have french, italian, blackfoot verified and X unverified ancestors.

the whole thing is uninteresting to me though. who i am and where i'm from is of no significance compared to where i'm going.

I've never had to identify myself by race except in censuses and other questionnaires that ask for that information. Generally they provide choices, so I always go with 'White' or 'White British'.

Half my family, however, is Irish, so I always feel a little guilty. It's just, I was born in England and my mother is from Scottish stock, so identifying myself as Irish feels entitled.

Usually, I'm just "a Londoner" but if asked about my heritage I'm an Arab Jew, born, raised and educated in Britain. :) I like to consider that I have the best of both worlds, strong eastern family values and traditions but with modern, western values thrown in; a blend of East and West.

So it got me thinking, how do you identify yourself, if someone asks what you are or what race do you identify with what do you say? Do you go with your complete background, part of it, or just where you're from?
I identify as being half German-Catholic and half ethnic Jewish-Jewish. Also, I identify as American.

While I am Swedish I am also of Walloon descent. If you want get an idea of how I look, think young Clark Kent (not Smallville, mind you). Or Harry Potter with a square jaw and sans the scar.

Otherwise I would describe myself as open-minded towards strangers (in real life that is).

I'm a white Swedish male, I don't belive I have any other ancestors from any other countrys. I'm really freaking tall for my age, and I'm pretty goddamn quite attractive If I have to say it myself.

Wherte I live you never have to identify racially, as it is mostly impossible due to most of the population being mestizo. My grandfather on my mother's side and great-grandmother on my father's side are Portuguese. Probably all my European ancestors are Portuguese.
I probably descend from the Tupi tribes that used to rule over this land before the Europeans came.
Probably Africans too.

I don't identify my skin color as it is usually obvious in person. Brown, tending to the light side.

The most useful thing I can identify as is Brazilian from the Southeastrn region, Rio de Janeiro. My country is one of those that have big cultural differences from state to state.
People from Rio have an easily identifyable accent compared to the rest of the country. Our final -r sounds like the it does in Received Pronounciation English, while in most Portuguese dialects it keeps its roticity.

I am an atheist (don't believe in God), and Agnostic (knowing for sure is impossible).

The easiest way to describe myself is that I am white but im not about to let myself off that easily.
Know very little about my ancestry I am Irish as far back as I know but theres more then likely a few surprises hidden away.
I usually try to avoid getting caught in a rut and ending up with a permanent label so I try to keep things fresh.
If I had to use one to descride myself I would go with... see I really dont know Im not in the business of defining others and have a hard time doing it to myself...almost had something there! but its slipped away,so close

Well I'm English. But I'm also just irish enough to be offended by all those 'top o' the mornin' to ya' stereotypes. Go far back enough and I also have some Russian in my blood, but I only use that as an excuse as to why I drink so much vodka...

Someone asks me my nationality, I'll tell them I'm Australian.

Someone asks me where my ancestors came from, I'll tell them that... Once I remember.

Really, that's all there is to it. What am I now, what has my family been in the past. Dependent on the question is what answer you will get. [God, I almost have Yoda grammar there...]

I say White British, since I'm so used to giving it on ethnicity parts of forms.

Pretty much totally accurate. I'm mostly english with some Scottish.
the only question would be that supposedly my last name came from France at some point, but I doubt any genetics gained from that are very present in me.

I'm just another sun starved white guy in Ireland.
Race has never really been a big thing for me as their isn't a lot of diversity here. One of the things that always interested me about some Americans I've talked to was the way they can rattle off half a dozen nationalities in their ancestry. I suppose its a situation unique to countries founded by settlers of varying nationality
EDIT: If theirs one thing that can be said for the Irish, we may only be a small country with a population of 4.5 million but based on the ammount of people with Irish ancestry here, jesus do we breed like rabbits
