I'm really impressed by this podcast series. I honestly don't mind the time at all. Can't wait for the next episode.

I know I'm just pretty much parroting everything already said, but I loved this (psssst .mp3?).

Having a developer's opinion makes it refreshing, since I'd imagine two reviewers would have pretty similar viewpoints.

This is actually fairly interesting. I really enjoyed hearing most of it. I will be honest, I did kind of phase out and concentrate at other things for a few moments, but I was paying very close attention to other areas. I hope that makes up for it. >.>'

Another good episode.

I was surprised to hear Mikey watched Step Up 3D and mentioned the 3D parts (the water splashing was my favorite also).

And all this talk about Deus Ex, I have it saved on my Steam Wishlist. If I joined during the one day sale for 99 cents (or something else), I could've bought it. Still plan on buying it though.
A measly dollar for deus ex?

the thought of the two being valued the same...

the world has offended me.

I opened it up and saw that it was an hour.

I thought to myself, "AN HOUR!"

I listened to the whole thing regardless.
I find it informative in a very geeky sort of way.
+1 Confirm.

Nice podcast, informative and interesting. You two work great together, you should do some more of these.

As an aside, mikey, do you have any idea why Yahtzee never posts on the forums, even in comments sections for his features (like this one)?

Great show. On paper this sounds like it'd be quite boring but Neumann and Yahtzee work well together, I thought.

Also, the fact that they often digress didn't hurt the show at all - in fact quite the opposite.
And I think that worked just because both have a good pedigree in gaming.

Looking forward to the next one.

I'd say because it's just pointless. I couldn't see the benefit of him doing so. I wouldn't either if I was in his shoes.
It's bound only to lead to conflict for a multitude of reasons.

I don't really get to talk about video games in the real world these days, so these are lovely. Thank you. Now if it was a podcast that could be listened to when I'm not on my computer.

p.s. I think I love Mikey Newman's voice. Also, "Drunk, homeless men with no skills." "Who can run really fast, because that's all you put skills into." - I laughed probably more than was appropriate.

Hey you can not talk about console graphics and show the DX11 3dmark benchmark. It makes no sense. Graphics are still far from the limit. What happens is that makes much better graphics is somewhat expensive. No small studio can do this, no big studio you push to much the limit without garanting their publilshers they will sell well.
I don't think "limit" is the right word here, but we've definitely come to a point of diminishing returns with graphics. Let's look at 10 years ago, 5 years ago, and today: if you compare graphics in 2001 with graphics in 2006 there was a difference that was much more dramatic than comparing 2006 with now.

Today you have to spend much more to get marginally better graphics that don't impress as much as they did before.
Yeah you are right. Games like Crysis 2 and Metro 2033 are not thaaat astonishing.

Mikey, you kind of annoy me.
But I so love you :(

I guess we just don't win 'em all. I'll bring Funyuns and Twizzlers by later as a peace offering.
Hmm, funyuns and twizlers are pretty sweet as far as peace offerings go... spose I wont discount this show just yet.
My problem is that your conversations with yahtzee seem a little forced at the moment. Though this is only the second episode, Ill try to give it some time to develop before making any more judgements.

Suggestion: Have the slide show/clip show but also have your live webcam footage. I'm sure not all of it is extremely entertaining, but it would certainly help with "If you could see what he's doing right now..."

I mean, why not, right? :)

[EDIT] (As I watch little by little) Mass Effect 2 was definitely NOT about the choices you make. In fact, the choices you make are largely irrelevant to the story, since there really isn't any way to "lose" the game. It's not a straight up traditional RPG in that sense. ME2 is, in my opinion, more about great writing in whatever they actually do write in.

[EDIT2] Yahtzee, didn't you criticize Epic Yarn for the same thing you seemed to speak positively about for Sonic?

[EDIT3] Okay, I'm done. I really like you guys together for sure. Even though it was an hour long, it was well worth sticking through. Never a dull moment. Hope there's more to come!
