I'm really impressed by this podcast series. I honestly don't mind the time at all. Can't wait for the next episode.
A measly dollar for deus ex?Unhappy Crow said:Another good episode.
I was surprised to hear Mikey watched Step Up 3D and mentioned the 3D parts (the water splashing was my favorite also).
And all this talk about Deus Ex, I have it saved on my Steam Wishlist. If I joined during the one day sale for 99 cents (or something else), I could've bought it. Still plan on buying it though.
+1 Confirm.EnigmaHarper said:I opened it up and saw that it was an hour.
I thought to myself, "AN HOUR!"
I listened to the whole thing regardless.
I find it informative in a very geeky sort of way.
I'd say because it's just pointless. I couldn't see the benefit of him doing so. I wouldn't either if I was in his shoes.OhJohnNo said:As an aside, mikey, do you have any idea why Yahtzee never posts on the forums, even in comments sections for his features (like this one)?
Yeah you are right. Games like Crysis 2 and Metro 2033 are not thaaat astonishing.tautologico said:I don't think "limit" is the right word here, but we've definitely come to a point of diminishing returns with graphics. Let's look at 10 years ago, 5 years ago, and today: if you compare graphics in 2001 with graphics in 2006 there was a difference that was much more dramatic than comparing 2006 with now.brazuca said:Hey you can not talk about console graphics and show the DX11 3dmark benchmark. It makes no sense. Graphics are still far from the limit. What happens is that makes much better graphics is somewhat expensive. No small studio can do this, no big studio you push to much the limit without garanting their publilshers they will sell well.
Today you have to spend much more to get marginally better graphics that don't impress as much as they did before.
Hmm, funyuns and twizlers are pretty sweet as far as peace offerings go... spose I wont discount this show just yet.mikeyface said:But I so love youMooly said:Mikey, you kind of annoy me.
I guess we just don't win 'em all. I'll bring Funyuns and Twizzlers by later as a peace offering.
