I recognize all those events except for that one. What was Mellow Leprechauns? I'm sure I was there for it but do I know it under a different name or was it on the down-low so I wasn't there?Marter said:Let's see.
There was the whole Mellow Leprechauns debacle. Admittedly, that was a lot of fun, even if it was a big pain for the staff/moderators at the time.

Do you remember Furburt, Hubilub, MilkyFresh, LordCuthberton, and the like? When many of them got banned from the site, they created their own with the initial principle goal of raising as much havoc here under alternate accounts as they could.tippy2k2 said:I recognize all those events except for that one. So they did. For months. As their friend -- and at the time, not a full-moderator; I could only do User Reviews back then -- it was pretty funny to watch and hear their stories.
Did he take the side of Bioware or was he arguing against them. None of the people who talk about say.The Wykydtron said:Oh man, you missed Zeel?! He was so awesome! Every single Bioware thread he was there, arguing adamantly with about five different people never conceding defeat even when he was wrong, which was most of the time.Elfgore said:I'm not sure if I missed Zeal or Zeel or was just young to understand what was happening. All I know is, I really wish I could have been there. His rants on Mass Effect are legendary in their level of insanity, or so I've heard. Really should have paid more attention
I got into one of the most civil debates about which Fallout was better between 3 and NV with TheLostKing. We each brought points and just finally agreed to disagree on which was better. Same happened with a BF3 argument on being able to purchase levels with money. I said bullshit he disagreed on the argument of skill playing a massive part on how effective they are even with high level gear. Same happened as the last argument in the end.
I did also post a very unpopular opinion on the kid who got arrested for threatening to shoot up a school after a bad game of LoL. My post was the first post to the news article. I woke up every day to like 3 or so quotes from it. I eventually stopped responded and vowed never to post on threads that involve sexism, peoples' rights, and other heavily debated topics every again.
He dodged bans, came back from bans, rising from the ashes like some sort of Terminator. He was there for I think months until he finally got permabanned. Then he came back for one final post on like gay rights or something, pissed off about everyone in the thread with one single post then was IMMEDIATELY permabanned again.
Thus ends the saga of Zeel.
Against. Very against. Conspiracy theorist in a bunker with thriteen thousand cans of beans and a copy of The Anarchist's Cookbook level of againstness.Elfgore said:Did he take the side of Bioware or was he arguing against them. I do remember his little comeback when he said something along the lines of "You couldn't be talking about this handsome devil could you?" in a banned thread and then that same day he was gone.
The one thing I'll always remember is a random act of kindness from a user, which was seeded in these forums and one day physically materialized at the steps of my apartment. That was substantial. Everything else is passing time, in a very safe and comfy kind of way.Electronic communities build nothing. You wind up with nothing. We are dancing animals. How beautiful it is to get up and go out and do something. We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different.
Off topic. I'm a member of the website that Furb, Demented and Hub founded after their banTheYellowCellPhone said:Heh. Most of the big events I wasn't there for some reason or another. The exodus of notable users (like Furburt, Hubilub, DementedTeddy, Zeeky_Sanatos, and Swollen Goat, to name some)
