Well, I'm jealous of people who actually own/have the chops to build their own gaming PC, especially when the Steam sales come around. Though that's not really a secret, if I could afford one I'd drop my console in a heartbeat, save for exclusives.
Errm...Oh! I've never beaten FFVII myself. I have seen my friend play it off and on a lot. I tried playing it once and the graphics outside of combat were so awful they literally made me dizzy. I'm not a person who considers graphics the top tier requirement for a game, but holy shit...I'm sure there's some amazing story elements in there somewhere, but I also think the majority of the praise I hear for it is extremely overblown nostalgia talking.
I play Pokemon a LOT. Like, a LOT a lot. Like, I start up a new nuzlocke on a cartridge every other month. I've nuzlocke'd Leaf Green and Sapphire at least three times each in the past year and a half.
I personally enjoy a proper controller over a mouse. I don't care how much more "accurate" I can be.
I think of all gaming systems I've ever owned, my Gamecube has given me the most enjoyment for its time. I had a PS2 as well, and though it was a great console with great games, whenever I think back to my late adolescents/early teens, it's the times spent on Gamecube games like Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Pokemon Colosseum, and Wind Waker that I remember fondly first. Kingdom Hearts and .Hack://G.U. coming in afterward.
Halo 3 was my first Halo game, and was actually the first game I got with/wanted for my 360. I wanted to be a part of that community, and for the first year I had my 360, I played the hell out of the MP and met some really cool people. No Halo since has been more entertaining, or had environments that looked quite so nice. I also have never gotten people that were so fun to play with since. I miss the Foundation map and the ridiculous stuff people could forge in that. Forging is a lot more in-depth in the newest titles, but it never seems like anyone ever really brings about that magic anymore. There's also a great lack of people who friend request anymore, and so there's not much Custom fun to be had.
I think the story in the Halo series is mostly garbage. ODST I think is my favorite single player of the series, with Reach coming in second. Honestly, Halo 4 felt to me like the first time somebody with some real story chops took the reigns.
I liked Bioshock 2 and its story better than the original. I also like it better than Infinite, as Infinite was all just run and gun and bombast. I was honestly surprised that Yahtzee enjoyed Infinite so much. It seemed like so much of the "Spunk Gargle Wee Wee" he spoke about in so many other shooters. I found the gameplay at best to be average. The ending to the story was cool, though.
