These could be:

A popular game you've never played
A game you never finished that everyone said "you must finish it!".
Something (game, character, etc) you liked that is renowned for being hated (or vice versa)
A popular/loved character you killed (or vice versa)

If you have any more, please list them!

I'll start:

I have never played Half Life, and only played an hour of Half Life 2. I found it utterly boring, and cannot care less about Half Life 3.

I really didn't mind the ending to Mass Effect 3.

I like Modern Military Shooter games.

I have never played, nor have any inclination to play, League of Legends or DOTA 2.

Let's hear yours!

- I never completed Bastion.
- I found Bioshock Infinite to be extremely boring.
- I despise Tiny Tina.
- I liked the 2009 "reboot" of Bionic Commando.
- The Mass Effect 3 ending was fine the way it was (before the Extended Cut DLC).
- I liked what I played of Duke Nukem Forever.

I am prepared for the consequences of my words.

-I've never completed Zelda OoT, and I think Wind Waker is the best Zelda of all time.
-I think the story for Halo totally blows.
-The original Deus Ex has aged so badly that I can not stand to play it.
-Spec Ops The Line is the single most overrated piece of crap I've ever played.

I wouldn't exactly call them secrets, because I'll gladly tell you about them, because I'm a special snowflake who desires attention.

It's not fair for you to steal three of mine. D:

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say I like them, but playing through the Modern Warfare campaigns off of friends' copies was pretty fun.

But yeah, Half-Life 2 I've tried twice, and both times after getting out of Ravenholm it's just become really boring.

Other than those I'll go with my standard picks for these threads; I don't like the old Infinity Engine CRPGs, I don't really like 'old-school' shooters, I'd pick Sonic over Mario any day of the week unless the choice was between Sonic '06 and Super Mario Galaxy.

Now for a few new ones!

Despite having bought it twice and loving every second of it, I've yet to actually beat Shadow of the Colossus.

No matter how much easier it may be, I prefer the smoother controls and vastly better camera of the newest Devil May Cry to any of the previous ones, even 3.

I don't like Fallout 3 or New Vegas, and to date Skyrim has been the only Elder Scrolls game I played for longer than an hour, because it was the first one to actually have a halfway decent third-person camera.

Kingdom Hearts may very well be one of my favorite video game franchises ever, and is the sole reason I still maintain a bit of optimism for Final Fantasy XV.

-I've never played Mario 64 or Ocarina of Time
-Mass Effect 3's ending was fine. Extended cut made it better
-GTA IV was extremely overrated and overhyped

That's about all I can think of.

There are some days that I think Sonic 06 wasn't all that bad, and the hate it got was completely unjustified. Luckily, I then remember playing as Silver, and I snap out of that crazy delusion.

I really enjoy Call Of Duty, each and every year.

Remember Me was a really enjoyable and interesting game, with great, flowing combat (if you can manage it) and I enjoyed it a lot more than Tomb Raider, which is probably the worst "good" game I've ever played.

I enjoy Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts more than the original platformers these days, and I enjoy Rare's MS output more than their Nintendo output as a whole.

I like both Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2.

There are probably more than that but there you go for just now anyway.

The only Nintendo games I've ever played were one of Mario games back on "Dendy" and Pokemon Green on original GameBoy.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one of my favorite games of all time.

I never completed Skyrim, Oblivion, Vice City, GTA3, GTA4, or New Vegas.

I really enjoyed Bioshock 2.

I've never played Mafia, Deus Ex, System Shock, or original XCOM.

I preferred the characters of dragon age 2 over the characters of DAO

Alpha protocol is one of my favorite RPGs of all time

I have beaten vampire the masquerade bloodlines at least 10 times, with another 2 more at the years end

.... When I was 14 I somehow got my hands on the bible black game and played it for 2 weeks straight trying to find the one good ending after seeing all the evil ones.
If you don't know what bible black is don't look it up and if you do I am not to be held responsible

OT:

-i played AND completed Mary kate and Ashley mystery mall game for PS1 .
-i thought Tails from Sonic and tails was a girl and always wondered why Sonic never mated with her ( him).
-i try extra hard not to lose a competitive game if i'm facing a girl ( so far never happened as far as i'm aware ).
-i play as female characters because they are nicer to look at , especially if they wear skimpy clothes .
-i'm a terrible person.

Edit : i liked alpha protocol more than i liked Deus Ex:Hr .

-I freaking hate Wind Waker, due entirely to the USELESS SAILING. WHY IS THE GAME HAVING ME SPEND FORTY MINUTES BETWEEN DUNGEONS JUST SAILING?
-I raged HARD trying to beat the first boss of Skyward Sword, that guy who catches your sword with his fingertips and occasionally steals it and throws junk at you. It was IMPOSSIBLE. I was literally screaming for twenty minutes and throwing the controller around. After that I gave up, fuck Skyward Sword and the Wii Motion Plus gimmick.
-I never played a single Metroid game
-I can't beat the Warden Freeman part of Half-Life 2 without turning on godmode.
-I haven't played more than five minutes of New Vegas, I haven't done any of Fallout 3's DLC beside The Pitt and part of Point Lookout (which was impossible), despite hearing how great Operation Anchorage and Broken Steel is.
-I always play girls in singleplayer games because BOOBIES, I play boys in multiplayer games because my friends probably play with me or I feel like I'm being judged

I don't like Nintendo or Valve games. Apart from Wii Music, I found that really entertaining.
I love CoD games. Well, Treyarch ones.
I liked ME3's ending.
I rarely play new games, and always judge them by the trailers and people's reactions instead of playing them myself.

I am never going to finish any Bioware game that was made prior to Mass Effect. Because Bioware games are all the same game and I can only be expected to play the same game so many times before I "get it".

I don't like StarCraft or WarCraft and I find them to be poor strategic games.

i'm beginning to think Daggerfall is a better experience than Skyrim especially considering how unnervingly similar the gameplay is between the two.

I've never finished Vampire: The Masquerade. Not sure why; I love that game.

I've never defeated Sigma. Not even in the first Megaman X.

Actuall, I don't think I've ever really finished any of my old SNES games.

I miss 16 and 32 bit games. I would gladly sacrifice the "polygons are emotions" development mentality so that I could have more versions of Dragon Warrior Monsters or Oracle of Ages floating around the market.

Mass Effect: My only contact with the franchise was the demo for the last one and it elicited a "meh".
Final Fantasy: I don't even quite know what that is.
somethingsomething Zelda: see above.
Bioshock: I myself get tired of Rantingaboutit?, but I feel like Mr. Levine should maybe try knitting or something.
Minecraft: I think it has great graphics.

OH I forgot one more,
I ADORE winter voices. Not entirely sure why, but the idea of fighting your fears and doubts in a turn based strategy game with a giant skill tree, as a concept, never gets old.

-I've never completed Ocarina of Time, even though it has been on my "To Do List" for quite some time now.
-I never played the first Half-Life game outside of the demo, and I viewed Half-Life 2 as a highly overrated game, even if it was understandably good.
-I haven't completed Final Fantasy III (a.k.a. Final Fantasy VI), even though, again, it has been on my "To Do List" for quite some time.
-I actually would rather be running around in Resident Evil 4 with Ashley Graham than in Half-Life 2 with Alyx or BioShock Infinite with Elizabeth. Oh yeah, and this isn't due to any extra attraction I have towards her. It's the fact that you actually work together with her during the gameplay, rather than her being your good little servant the whole game.
-I view the first Mass Effect game as average at best, but I absolutely love ME2 and ME3.
-Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer continues to be my most played game on Steam, with the second place game (Civilization V) having less than half the time invested.
-[Decides to retract this comment due to excessive levels of embarrassment and the potential for stupid responses]
-Oblivion is my favorite Elder Scrolls game. In fact, it is the only one I've really enjoyed.

I'd go into more, but I think I've already caused one person to faint so I'll leave it at that.

- I got roughly equal enjoyment out of Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2.

- I pre-ordered Duke Nukem Forever despite expecting it to be bad. (Although not that bad.)

- I first played Mass Effect because I wanted to know what had got Fox News all in a tizzy.

- I create female characters at least 50& of the time when given the option to do so. It's an aesthetic thing.

- I've expressed negative opinions on this forum about games that I've never actually played, while omitting that fact. I can't remember which ones, but I know I've done it at least twice.

- I think every one of your favourite games is a worthless, puerile, poorly designed heap of crap.

Duke Nukem Forever is a good game, not great but certainly solid.

Zelda is generally shit.

Nearly all JRPGs are difficult to enjoy as they seem to be marketed to angst ridden teens and emos.

MOBAs are not genuinely interesting or viable as E-Sport, the meta games are also substandard.

That'll do for now, although these aren't really secrets as I'll gladly divulge to any unsuspecting victim who makes the mistake of starting to listen.
