However, I realized, if she would sing songs with real meaning, I might like her. California Girls (I cant stand how music has started down internet speak and refuse to allow it) is a crappy superficial song, but I have heard a couple that are not so.

As for her husband....he makes me laugh. (considering he is a comedian, its all thats required)

I always have respect for artists who can do those things, even if I don't particularly like them I can still respect them for actually having a bit of talent.
I'd take her over Rhianna, for example, any day.

It is just 100% subjective though. Some people will call this music superior while others will call that music superior. There is no objective way to find out what "sounds in your ears" are better.

Although, being off-tune vocally is objective and she sings off tune without computers so that's why I think her music is shite
