Really hearty and filling. Lots of fowl instead of mammalian meat and it's smothered in gravy with healthy amounts of potatoes. Potatoes are in every dish, and cabbage is almost as popular, with mushrooms being the third most popular. They take relatively bland (yet filling) food products such as rice and bread and make sure they explode with the flavor of the gravy/sauce, which compliments the marination of the meat. You'd think with such a small choice pool that the combinations would be limited, but I'm still trying new dishes at the tail-end of my stay.
And there's goulash. Sweet Jesus, I love Slovak goulash.
