Yeah, everything would've mostly been okay, but I guess Asc was trying to do damage control for my mistake and posted and...welp, time to make a few more corrections and make Alexander the crazy person.

Edit: Damage control is complete, all is not lost, I'm going to bed.

This is what I get for watching a few action movies, Cowboy Bebop, and One Piece before posting.

Man, I know the feeling. I pretty much made Rev who he is because I was certain I couldn't overcome my preference for the overly-idealistic hamtastic side of things.

Alright, I'm cool with that. I was gonna have Alexander laugh a bit anyway.

People adore that kind of guy- a brave, strong hotshot that relishes action and excitement, yet still cared about those around him. He exudes confidence and charisma, easily forming lasting bonds with his friends and colleagues. They would be prone to theatrical displays, so burningly passionate about everything that they do that they seem larger than life. They give their all in absolutely everything they do, regardless of the task. They can say the cheesiest of lines with a straight face yet still manage to deliver genuine words of wisdom and stir the hearts of those who heard them, and have a burning need to see justice prevail.

Characters like that blow my fucking balls off.

Well, she just found out that the ultimate goal of the manufactured program was to create the best possible human pilot, then use them as a template for the Dummy Plug inside a Mass Produced Evangelion.
(i.e I used to be an Eva pilot, then I took a Lance of Longinus to the face. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mG7b17XLz5Y&feature=related])

It was also revealed that she was rejected, and that number 15 was rejected as well. The scientists found no statistically significant difference in genetic potential between them, and 13's inferiority complex was just in her head.

She also sees what the ultimate conclusion would have been. Had she truly been the best, Addison would have had her central nervous system taken out to be analyzed and replicated as an artificial, cybernetic version. Whatever "reward" there is in that, she would not get to experience it. TheNaut131 kind of touched on this already.

After all, even a genetically perfect human is only human. There's been expressions of this in the game- scientists arguing with generals why they cannot remove difficult emotions, your own posts reflecting on your past versions, etc. There are elements that constitute a person that are ingrained so deeply in the body, and the A.T. Field (emotions are the language of the soul) that to remove them would require such extreme intervention that the subject would longer be considered human.

There's no end to it. In the quest for perfection, that's what you ultimately end up with- a robot.

There's really a number of different reactions here.

Hmm, card games on mopeds? No...a straight up fist figh-not in Alastor's nature. Sure, the mental attack is cool and could play on the whole damaged mind angle I have working for Alexander, but I have another idea. How about a game of "anything you can do, I can do better" that spirals out of control? Sure, Alastor starts out by assaulting Pollux mentally, Samuel ask what the meaning of this is, Alastor gives his responce, and Samuel simply says something along the lines of, "...so you're jealous of me?" And then things get weird, leaving Alexander in a shitty condition for the next Angel fight. Which reminds me...

Asc, I hav an idea on for next angel, getting Addison-15 involved again, and stuffs.

I am not even sure what I've missed in the last day or two but I probably won't be posting until tomorrow night or the day after. Got a lot of doctor's appointments trying to repair my junk knee.

Hiei82's real character sheet (that he PM'ed me.)

Hello, I would like to submit the following character for the Evangelion RP.

Notes at End (marked with *)

Enjoy

Name: Dr. Owen J. Laurence

Age: Appears and legally 28 (Actually closer to 14)

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 206

Blood Type: O Positive

Rank: Specialist (United Nations Corp of Engineers)

Character Type: Manufactured

Physical Appearance:
Owen appears to be of Mixed Anglo-Saxon and Germanic decent. He has dark brown frizzled hair (think a younger version of Einstein for effect) and (almost) unnaturally bright blue eyes. When not in a combat situation, he is generally dressed in tan slacks with a navy blue shirt (always disheveled) over which he wears a white lab coat. He always has safety glasses on him somewhere, though exactly where he keeps them changes daily (sometimes on an inside pocket of his coat, other times on his head, other time hanging from his belt, etc) his skin is somewhat tanned, an oddity as few people believe he leaves his lab with any frequency. When the fighting is on, Owen dresses in military fatigues, though he retains the lab coat and safety glasses

Bio/History:
Owen Laurence does not exist. The name was invented some time ago by combining several names from various books he read as a "child". In truth, Dr. Laurence was created as a prototype for the future manufactured pilots. His creation predates the Evangelion project and as such, never had the ability to synchronize with an Eva. In fact, the Evangelions unsettle him and he suspects the Eva?s feel much the same (though he has no proof of this, just a gut instinct).

Owen spent his childhood in a science facility, being poked and prodded by scientist to try to figure out how to make a better clone. His early life was spent escaping into whatever books he could acquire in the lab (mostly technical manuals and historical/science fiction novels). Unsurprisingly, the reading and rereading of countless science textbooks from a young age, combined with the increased intellect and memory that his creators had chosen to include in his genetic code, soon allowed him to speak on level with any of the scientists in the facility. The progress that Owen was able to make at the facility was significant and it pleased the scientists to see how successful the cloning process had been. Unbeknownst to the researchers however, Owen was filling with hate. Owen, you see, had known from his reading from a young age exactly what he was: an experiment ? one that had a definitive end point that would include the ?liquidation of all prototype assets?. As such, he knew for most of his life that it would come to an end at the hands of his so called parents. As the experiment went on, his despair and hatred grew until, a plan began to form. When the time of his liquidation grew close at hand, his 10th birthday, he used what tools he had gathered to break out of the facility, and burn it to the ground. Within his chamber, he placed one of the failed clone samples from elsewhere in the lab complex to cover his tracks and ran for the hills.

The plan worked and he managed to escape into the world. As he traveled the world (or what was left of it) he came to realize a truth ? that life is suffering and that no one should be forced to endure it. He saw the struggles of those that lived in the post impact world and decided to end that pain, in the grandest way possible, using the only tool he had: science.

It was at this time that Owen took his name (until then he had simply been a number). He used his knowledge to build a reputation as a leader in the scientific community and it was not long before he was invited to join the UN science commission. From there, he had intended to end the world, before he was informed of one more truth: that of the Angels and the Evangelions. The revelation shocked the misanthropic doctor. Here he had been planning to kill all humanity, but there were many more creatures that were to blame who would escape judgement is he were to enact his plan. So he modified his plan in step. Now he intends to aid the Evangelions in their destruction of the Angels that have ravaged the earth and when the Angels are no more, he will use them to destroy humanity as well

Other:
Owen suffers from a strange side effect of his cloning. Due to the prototype nature of his clone body, he ages at an accelerated rate (appearing to age 2 years for every year). Owen takes medication he created himself to mitigate the negative effects and keep his clone body solvent, but he cannot stop the rapid aging, which grows worse by the year.

Owen has sympathy for other created beings (such as manufactured pilots and the Evangelions) but at the same time fears them. He can empathize with the struggles of being created, but he fears that if he gets too close to another manufactured, he will be discovered. As such he keeps his distance from manufactured as best as possible but, in the event that one is going to be harmed, he will step in and defend them. (his misanthropy does not extend to manufactured creatures).

Owen has lived his whole life hiding behind a facade. Deceit is second nature to him and he uses several layers of it at any given time. He has found that people do not generally consider him a threat if he wears the mask of the eccentric professor so he plays the fool for all it?s worth.

*Notes:
I would like Owen to fill the role that Dr. Akagi would have filled in the Anime/Manga - that of the onsite specialist in all things technical.

As you have no doubt noticed, this character is a bit of a villain and I would intend to play him as such (in the background of course) I figure, Evangelion had about 5 different factions all with their varying degrees of evil and that this would make for a rather interesting addition (who really expects another player to be a villain)

Please let me know what you think (with discretion of course as giving away the evilness would just ruin the fun)

Hiei82: Is that Chris in the plug?
Why I would never dream of making a zombie pilot and putting him in a Frankensteined together Unit-03 reconstructed by a scientist whose name is Shelley [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Shelley] under a project named "Prometheus" [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankenstein].

Why... that would be particularly and uncharacteristically dastardly. After all, it's not like I have any villainous, world ending plans that would benefit from having a pilot ready to destroy those who would oppose me.

*starts whistling*

On a side note, as much as I hate it when people say what I'm about to say...

I'm just going to leave these here

Two Items:

1) New post is up... we're up to ELEVEN pages now... *deep monotone voice:* "yay"

2) I may be unable to make posts for a while - I got Jury duty starting Tuesday so time may or may not be on my side. Just assume Owen's eating in the basement until the angel bites it. hopefully I will be free by then. *crosses fingers*

Alrighty then! Wow, so you're spending Valentines day on jury duty. How ironic would it be if the case involved lovers of some sort? Oh well, good luck with that. Ah jury duty, I can just imagine what I'll due the moment I get that notification.

"Bill, bill, bill, coupons, bill, jury du-OH GOD WHY?!"

Oh, you mentioned that you wanted someone to figure out how to take Alastor down. Well, you said he was wearing resonance armor and that's all I need to know. So far during this RP, I've learned that if it involves resonance of some kind, I will exploit the fuck out of it. The sonic guillotine is fucking great!

Plus, Samuel is on Owen's tail, keeping track of his madness and villainy.

Rev has gotten the shit kicked out of him in pretty much every Angel fight this whole RP. I consider this his revenge fight.

In most games, I would hand my character over to the GM at this point as Owen has ceased to be even a remotely playable character... Well, I'm off to figure out how to RP a great old one.
