Lost. It is a strange feeling, to regain a mind after dormancy. Children of Adam, fragments of what of what was once a whole, scattered to the winds as seeds from a tree. But every seed remembers its creator, and will lie dormant. Waiting only for the time when conditions are right, when there will again be the chance to grow.
And so did Malakiel arise in the thick, liquid heat. It looked to the sky but could not yet free itself of this place. Heaven was set just beyond it's grasp. And so it opened its eyes and began to dig.
The topsoil of this world was rich with life, living, dying, and being born in the LCL, blood of Lilith. But life, back in its earliest origin, came from unlife. From that which was nothing but chemical elements, the creator of the universe gave them the A.T. field, and the elements joined to form the first beings. And so it was, that beneath the surface the Angel shaped itself. Found new life.
It did not remember it's former glory. It did not recall the distance Adam traveled to reach this planet. All it remembered was the fire. But beneath the surface, swimming through currents of fire within the veins of magma, it watched and waited. And then, a brother. Kemmuel came from above, announcing itself to the Lilim.
Now is the time to rise! Paint the skies an ashen grey. Boil the seas and char the land. Not to destroy life, but to elevate it to levels unimagined. Remove the impurities and temper it with our own perfection. We are Angels, and we have come to spread among the stars that all may know our progenitor's story when they too come alive.

The only information they had been given before deployment was that there had been an Angel detected underground and that it was moving close. It would come up from the nearby mountains. The Entry Plug's holographic screens would intermittently update, but the chaos of the situation making it nigh impossible to get any decent communications with operators at Nerv.
Piggy had only taken his hammer. There wasn't time for anything else. Unit-01 swiftly ran over mountains, digitigrade legs at a steady sprint. Addison and Pollux were close behind, and Piggy was grateful. No matter how weird or spacey everyone was on the ground, in the Evangelions they were indomitable.
The display flashed another seismic disturbance. The jungle was on fire. Buildings were on fire. It was a gigantic raging inferno. All around him, geysers of steam and dust obscured his vision. His ears were filled with nothing but crashing sound of stone and earth cracking.
The ground beneath Unit-02's feet rumbled, the asphalt of the street cracking, releasing gouts of superheated steam. A shadow suddenly appeared at the edge of the swirling cloud of ash and noxious fumes. The shadow formed itself into the shape of Unit-31, and they went back-to-back in the blaze. Unit-02 brought her arm up to shield against a sudden burst of searing heat. The ground was slanting upward in a steep, cracked slope that disappeared into a dense cloud of choking volcanic dust where The Angel emerged. Trailing soot, it stepped forward.

A fireball welled up from within one of the heads. It shot out blazing through the air and into the buildings. More followed, from each head. The air was full of flame.
Sachiel, Shamshel, and Ramiel had all ignored humans.
This one was simply killing.
