Need for Speed Underground 2 introduced me to Queens of the Stone Age, though it's been awhile since I've listened to them. Most music I like in games tends to be the soundtracks in fighting games

The Faunts song that served as the TOTALLY FUCKING AWESOME credit roll music in Mass Effect.

Introduced me to the rest of their stuff.

Crush 40 because of sonic the hedgehog, although they mainly seem to do songs for sonic the hedgehog games but I think there may be a few that are separate but I'm unsure.

Guitar Hero has gotten me in to a lot of bands; stuff like Boston and Kansas.

Also, Klepaki's songs in RA3 were great.

Here's a nice old school one. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, now that had some awesome music in it, no particular artists that I know of though.

Always a fan of video game music. Loved Giacchino before he went mainstream (btw, thanks Steven Spielberg) The most recent soundtrack I've found is the Mafia 2 soundtrack, love that.

Yeah, I had listen to QOTSA before they made 'in my head' when Dave Grohl was doing drums on the first album. But the second album was pretty good. Third was just eh

I think the only band I legitimately got into was a bunch after a friend loaned me his copy of the Battlefield Vietnam Soundtrack. I became entranced by the 60s drug music.

The thing I took most from Deus Ex: Invisible War was the Kidneythieves, all of the in game pop-idol's stuff was their music and the singer actually voiced the pop star.

And for some reason nothing gets my brain working late at night better than the Uplink soundtrack.

I have the Assassin's creed 2 soundtrack (bitchin' on bass heavy headphones) and Silent Hill 2.

Anything that was on Electro-choc with and without the Ballad of Gay Tony add on. and anything that was on Radio Broker.

Pendulum From Motorstorm is one of my favourite bands.

THPS got me into Motorhead when I was like 5, didn't hear it for about 7 years after that though, it also got me into tonnes of different metal bands... oh and Frank Sinatra. Saints Row 2 got me into Three Inches of Blood, and Fallout got me into all the oldies like Louis Armstrong and The Inkspots. Doom II is probably a contributing factor to why I like metal as well(I played it when I was 3).

Grand Theft Auto shaped my musical tastes since Vice City. Every game has a soundtrack of such diversity and quality, I can't even begin to enumerate just how many amazing bands I've gotten into just by hearing on the radio in GTA. Them folk at Rockstar sure know their music.

Yeah Joe Romersa's Cradle of Forrest from the end credits in Silent Hill 4: The Room. It really impacted me after finishing it the four times to get all the endings & Cyntheas lingerie trick.
