With how expensive games are these days, I tend to do my research beforehand (though I recently bought assassin's Creed on PSP on impulse and I loved it, baring in mind I also loved the first game more than 2 and yes I'm crazy, I know), but I once bought Predator: Concrete Jungle thinking the concept looked awesome. It did look awesome, and it had such potential but.... My advice to anyone is not to buy Predator: Concrete Jungle. It knows how to tease you, just leave it be. Don't even look at it!WayOutThere said:I went to GameSpot looking to buy Fatal Frame but didn't find it. I did, however, come across the game The Suffering. I knew very little about the game, just what I saw from some brief gameplay footage and that it was considered to be a scary game. It was only $7 so I can't claim buying it was much of a risk. Any even moderately expensive games I'll research carefully before buying. So, whether it was much of a risk or not have you ever bought a game on impulse?
Edit: Oh yeah, The Suffering turned out to be a great game.
-Edit- Also bought Castlevania: Lament of Innocence for the ps2 on impulse. Apart from the absolutely abhorrent voice acting, it was an awesome game that explained the very origins of the belmont clan and indeed Castlevania itself (it was also made by the team that did Symphony of the night).
