When I went to Gamespot last, I ended up buying Fallout 3 for the PC on impulse because there was a lack of Dragon Age: ORigin's Cellector's Editions in the store. I also bought the first Golden Sun.
You sir are amazing
How so? Because I have an excellent taste in games? Like Golden Sun?
yah. Golden sun is amazing
Yeah, I know. I've played it before, but never owned. I accidentally picked the second one up first for five bucks, and I enjoyed it immensely. So, I more or less bought it just to own it, so I didn't have to borrow it from my friend again.

STALKER: SoC, Battlefield 2142, Penumbra: Overture, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, Advent Rising, BioShock, Second Sight, The Thing(Not F4 related), Pariah, Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Diablo 2 bundled with Ground Control 2, Quake 4, Halo 2, Lost Planet: Colonies, Hellgate: London and Kane and Lynch: Dead Men.

These are the games I just bother to list. I bet it'd be longer in reality, but some games actually taunt me for months when I go just "window shopping" I believe is the term. Most of these games I play through once every once in a while for the hell of it, some I regret, like Pariah, Halo2 and the unnamed others. Games I haven't finished, for instance are both Diablo2 and Ground Control 2. They were bundled and dirt cheap. I bought the bundle for GC2 since I didn't really like D2, man oh man did they up the ante on complexity with GC2. Penumbra just scared the hell out of me.

I actually only research very few games, mostly because for fear of spoilers that the trailers give these days and I hardly care about what critics think. I'll be my own critic. So I usually build up a "game budget" I guess and then go out, roam game stores to just find something that catches my eye and then locate the best deal on it. I don't know if actually the full list of games I play are impulse since some taunt me every time I walk by the isles.

Funny Facts: I have played through BioShock only once. I dunno, was fun the first time around... tried the second time, just seemed slightly... bland.
I still enjoy HellGate, albeit offline. BF2142 is still one of my most played games. K&L:DM just kicks ass.

My first one was Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. Sure I had fun with it, as a non-critical 12 year old, but gods that game was horrible.

After that I only bought Fallout 3, The Settlers: Rise of an Empire and L4D on a whim, and I loved all of them.

The Darkness, my god I'll never do that again...
I bought The Darkness as an impulse buy and loved it, granted I only payed $7 for it.

Others
Mirrors Edge - enjoyed it for $10
Wolfenstein - hated that game, felt so outdated
Condemned: Criminal Origins - currently one of my favorite new IP's of this gen
SOCOM Confrontation - was ok, but people online in that game will kick you just for being a noob and not knowing the maps, quit playing after a couple of days.
Wipeout HD - Amazing, favorite racing game this gen.
Fat Princess - Ugh, what a waste of money.

I also purchased Siren: Blood Curse during the PSN Halloween sale, haven't played it yet, but I enjoyed the original Siren on PS2 so hopefully it is fun.

Nice. You know that it is coming out for the DS in 2010?
Who doesn't? I'm so excited to finally finish this story. No story such as this should go unresolved for nearly a decade.
