You know what I mean, when you are out and about and see something that at the time in the heat of the moment looks like a great idea. But you get home, unpack your new purchase then wonder to yourself why you bought that.
I just did it myself, I got a monitor stand with room to put a laptop underneath if you want to hook a laptop up to a monitor. Thinking practically about it I'm really not going to use it much. I guess it could have been worse, it was only £20. I'm sure I'm not the only person that has done it and I want to hear your stories.

That box of rabid badgers...

Edit: OK nothing really. I don't generally do impulse buying being a student and all. The only thing I can think of like that is Vodka Trebbles in my local.

I brought a Resident Evil game (1 or 2?) from a pre-owned game store, it didn't have a case and luckily it was only like a pound, but when I tried to play it at home it was in German.

Shouldn't have been so quick to buy it...

Eh, not that much of an impulse buy, but I bought Saints Row 2 after everybody kept raving about it and saying how fun of a game it was. Got tired of it about 2 days later. GTA 4 is much better.

I bought one of those companion cube plush toys: link from Ebay then wondered why the hell I wanted one so badly.

It got sold soon afterwards.

I also bought Devil May Cry 4 and Turok and played them through once and wished I hadn't spent the money.

Oh, God my dad does that all the time.

He once bought several garden equipment, never once he used it.

Ummm... after reading a user review of Motorstorm I bought a PS3 soon after it had come out (and after I'd just come back from a snowboarding holiday), I regretted that for the first year.
Also, I sort of regret buying my car as I'm still paying off my loan now, which is tying me down more than I'd like to be. I think I'd be off having fun around the world right now, otherwise. Still, it's not that bad, I love my car but I just wish I didn't rush into buying it.

An electric keyboard. I was taking a music theory class at the time and I thought I would teach myself to play piano with it when the class was over.

I haven't touched it since.

Rise of the Argonauts, I have no idea what I was expecting even looking back at the screenshots and trailers it looked like utter shit. And it was the pc version worst control scheme evaaarrrr, not ot mentio nthe shitty camera, horrid fighting, linear dialogue, short gameplay, wooden acting, butchered mythology and so on and so forth.

I saw Astro Boy (the PS2 game) in Blockbuster for £6 and purchased it, as at the time I was a fan of the cartoon and I thought "£6 isn't too bad".
What a waste of good money. It currently stands as the worst game I have ever played.
