agreed. I played a co-op with an AI, and the enemy team felt as though it should turn on its omniscience switch and proceed to wipe the floor with me. (like they have the perfect counter-unit to my own units)

Jerks.

Well right now I'm playing through Advance Wars 2 and I'm pretty sure that game hates me. Its a wonderful game besides the fact that all of the more difficult levels have ONE and only ONE way to win and Ive ended up doing some over and over about 6 times.

Civ 4.

They have: 1 unit of archers.

You will lose 4 swordsmen, 5 axemen, 2 catapults and 3 units of archers trying to turf them out of their bloody city.

*grumble*
This, oh so much >.<

Train some damned spearmen!
I'll never succumb to the pressure of constructing such a bourgeoisie unit! Besides, spearmen get a bonus against cavalry, not archers... and they have a pretty low attack stat.

Silkroad Online hated me. The game is nothing but a grindfest and after grinding for 6 months, I hadn't gotten a single drop. No armor, no weapons, no accessories. Nothing.

Yes. in Continuum Shift, Jin's AI has a nasty habit of throw spamming you. It doesn't help that his throw freezes you for a few moments. What sucks is the fact that I'm horrible at breaking throws. The only time I ever break throws is when they grab me while I'm trying to grab them.

Swear to god, it works. If you lose a unit that shouldn't have lost, send in a unit that should never win. Either it will single handedly rout the entire city or the next attack won't be so moronic.

MW2 spawning system seems to hate me pretty bad. Most of the time, I spawn in front of enemies, an enemy spawns behind me or it spawns me so far away from everyone else that it takes me forever to get back into the fight. Plus the game loves to throw jam at my face and I find this a bit offensive.

Just a tip, Seth's AI is fairly abusable in SFIV. If you stay at long range from him, he'll spam sonic booms until you get close, and if you stay at close range he'll most likely throw you. The easiest way to beat him is just to stay at medium range, and 80% of the time he'll try to do a long punch (Dhalsim's one), just jump over this with a jumping attack, then go into a combo from there. At other times he'll try to use that vacuum move of his, but you can jump over that too. After you hit him with a combo, go back into medium range. Rinse and repeat, and suddenly he's the easiest character in the game to beat, even on hardest.

OT: Fire Emblem, it just loves to kill off my characters when the enemy has 5% chance to hit.

Empire: Total War. I'm playing as Prussia. I'm at war with the Austrians. I'm winning. They split their large army into individual units and swarm all over my empire burning down my production buildings, draining my finances and effectively bringing the Prussian Empire to its knees without a single battle.

one Must Fall: 2097 usually doesn't hate the player.

Except the final boss and secret characters in story mode. And when you play on either of the two secret difficulty levels. And when you use the Chronos. And when you decide to start on anything but the North American Open in tournament mode.

But what really used to hate me... back in the old days of Quake and Quake 2, and the early Command and Conquer games... LAN parties hated me. I was ALWAYS the only player with lag. And it was BAD lag.

Thy made me switch computers several times, and I was still laggy, and nobody else was. Even when I was on the computer which was hosting the game. Which makes no sense, because at least then EVERYONE should lag. But no, only me. It was useful in Quake 2 though, because my friends were all awesome railgun snipers, and I was the only person they couldn't hit.

To me, it was massively better than Empire, because E:TW would take incredibly long during turns, even though I have a rather modern computer.

That actually sounds like an example of amazing AI. I mean, I can imagine human players doing that as a last resort.

Demon's Souls. The again, it was made to be a sniveling, rabid badger with a taste for human flesh so strong that you can smell it when you open the case. With that in mind, though, at least it's a friendly badger...before it rips your heart out with its face.

Mount & Blade, just when I have claimed a castle of my own all of my enemies, and I mean ALL of my enemies, like, an entire country, come with 1 million men to take it from me. The game just hates me so much.

However, then I play Portal, and my beloved Companion Cube always calms me down. Till I burn it...
