They did do those news updates during the Elevators, but I know what you mean. They were just trying something different I think so that loading screens didn't interrupt the "flow" of the game, but I think its really unavoidable. Can't blame theme for wanting to try something different.Ieyland said:The elevator ride in Mass Effect. I don't really see the point. I pretty much prefer a loading screen because there's nothing happening in the elevator anyway. Or at least let me talk to my companions during the ride.
Yeah I get it but they could have let us move the character. I could entertain myself by firing the pistol up into the sky.BlindMessiah94 said:They did do those news updates during the Elevators, but I know what you mean. OT: In Pong I really hated how they gave that other guy a paddle. Made the game too hard.
EDIT: Now that I think about it those damn voices in Okami when you talk to villagers. Seriously were they trying to make you want to jam pencils into your ears?
Yeah I agree, but like I said I think they were just trying to make things as cinematic and realistic as possible...which I don't think is the best idea. Sometimes things can't be boring just for the sake of continuity.Ieyland said:Yeah I get it but they could have let us move the character. Don't you know? That was the best part of the game!OreWaUsopp said:Crying. Baby. Mario.
Weren't those only in the PC version?BlindMessiah94 said:They did do those news updates during the Elevators, but I know what you mean.
How could I have forgotten that? If MGS4 cutscenes were unskippable I..Timog said:Unskippable cutscenes in any game. Also, the inability to pause during longer cutscenes.
Nah, 360 had 'em too. The only problem was that they'd last for about a quarter of the ride. For the rest of it it would just be cheesy future muzak and awkward shuffling.shini said:Ever get really annoyed by a feature in a game? Constantly. Oh I liked them, mine would be the mining in ME2, whoever thought that up needs to apologize.Ieyland said:The elevator ride in Mass Effect. I don't really see the point. Nope, they are on the Box of the X variety as well. You know that whole "In other news, some jerk from ExoGeni had sex with a Krogan corpse" or something or other.shini said:Ever get really annoyed by a feature in a game? Constantly.
