"You can't fast travel with enemies near."

Then spending 10 minutes looking for the Mudcrap in the river!

...I know I can walk away, but I'm thick!
I couldn't have said it better myself. =P

The cover system in Resident Evil 5. It was really tacked on, you couldn't move while in cover, the controls were fairly limited, and the walls and boxes were really snooty and only some of them would let you take cover on them.

Games constantly giving me reminders to do things I am;
A. Already doing,
B. Cannot do at this point or,
C. Things I plan to do at some point.

GET TO COVER!!!
SHUT UP. SHUT. UP!

Also the Last Stand warning in CoD: MW2. By the time it's off the screen and you can see again, you're dead.

- The enemies in the new Splinter Cell, those guys keep talking and saying the same stuff over and over again.
- Stop right there criminal scum!
- Random high level enemy spawns in Fallout 3 when you just get out of the vault

Hey Listen!

yeah, that was sort of annoying.

Also, in Fable, how you end up looking about 80 years old... Its not that long of a game and no one else ages.
your child does and i think its about 8-10 years the game advances
Thats Fable 1 where your character looks about 80 when you finish it, not 2. And yeah that was annoying because your character is 80 and yet can still swing a humungous axe.

I get pretty annoyed by a lot of features that are trying to be more realistic, like ironsights.
I get angry at games that don't allow me to aim down my Ironsights, any RPG that uses guns that doesn't let me aim and hit at what I am aiming at drives me nuts. That's why I love ME2 so much.

U VATS in Fallout 3: Used it to not miss a shot and improve accuracy, and realizing that by firing manually I get more shots in/more damage.

Final Fantasy XIII in general. I figure since there's so much hate on 8 I can hate on 13...and 10 for having a direct sequel. There are much better ways of getting J-Pop to the west >.<

As for another Square-Enix scab that needs more picking: Just Cause 2 and how they only allow you to buy one item at a time.

Here's a feature which annoys me by it's absence: A lack of bot-matches in modern FPS's. I would be happy with Bot Integration meaning, having full 8-8 person matches with less than 16 human players: filling in those empty spots with bots. That was my favorite feature of Duke Nukem 64

Random and unnecessary quick time events. Garsh... Why? Prototype did this with disabling those damn detectors, the only genuinely hard part of the game! Long un-skippable cut scenes are also highly pretentious and annoying.

Come to think of it, there was this part in Dreamfall: The Longest Journey where you have to unearth a secret passageway by playing notes in the right order in a cave. There were 3 notes of which you had to create a 4-note-long piece (for all you non-mathematicians, that's 81 possibilities to go through). The annoying thing was, you only heard the tune you had to play once, several minutes before the cave and with no indication whatsoever that the tune was of any importance. Naturally, there was no way to hear it again. Almost stalled me - the only time I admit to using a guide to beat a puzzle in any game.

Fallout 3 Oblivion and other sandbox games:
where NPC keep talking the same thing over and over:

I have hard times to sleep at night.
You should try quick fix maybe they will have something.

you know all the rest.

The games that have karma system. In advertisment they say you can do everything you want but wen you make a bad decision everyone is telling you that was bad and don't agree with you.
That's very clearly visible in Infamous even trailers.
You going for bad character after the deed your girlfriends comes and gives you a moral lesson that you had to choose difrent path.

I love the Dynasty Warriors games but i hate how everytime you kill an officer your character spouts a victory line, this becomes really annoying later in the game when your really powerful and you kill a group of officers in a short period of time. Rather than your character just saying his victory line once, he'll say it again and again one after the other for each officer you killed. there have been times when i've killed ten officers before my character has gotten done with one victory cry...oh god its so annoying listening to the same line 10 times in a row.

I really disliked the "friend" system in GTA IV. All it did was get in the way of the real game.

Oh, I got another one.

Nintendo is usually to blame for this;
Artificially lengthening gameplay, by making you go on a pointless, backtracking fetch quest near the end of the game.
Chozo artifacts, Temples Keys, Energy cells, Triforce shards, starts.
Really annoying, totally takes the flow out of the game.
I dunno, I really enjoy those parts. They usually end up being the "You now of godlike wisdom and power, and go explore the vast landscape and find any random junk before the endgame" part, which I just love. Wind Waker did it best I think, no matter what anyone else says.
