At the end of Call of Cthulu, I felt sad that I wouldn't be getting to see Jack anymore.

and in Legend of Dragoon when Lavitz was killed. I actually cried. I'm such a wimp.

Another time was when I was playing World of Goo and finally had finished the game. I felt sad I wouldn't see those little balls of goo with their cute little eyes and noises ever again.

Definitely my ME2 Character, I love that heartless renegade bastard. Oh and I don't play wow anymore, but i was sad when Arthas died *shrug* but maybe that had more to do with the really anticlimactic way they killed him off.

I rarely have the attention span or drive to finish games, but sometimes, when I do finish a game I get the same feeling that I get from finishing a really good book. That long sigh, the closing of the book, and thinking about the characters. The most recent game I played that I completed that I really got a sense of finishing were .hack//infection and .hack//Rebirth. When I finished them, and got the e-mail saying I got the Data Flag, I knew my time there was over.

And yet, I didn't finish the game. I hadn't finished it. I still had adventures with the characters. I still sent fake pre-planned e-mail pathlines with them. It reminded me of the end of the .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet anime. After they saved the world, they just played the game.

Something I love about the .hack series is the character building. The e-mails you get aren't always about saving the world. Sometimes Mistral just wants to tell you about her daughter or the thing she baked. Or maybe BlackRose wanted to talk about Tennis. But the original .hack series really endeared its characters to me. Unlike Haseo in the second series, Kite in the first one is a pretty friendly guy, and he seems the type to just talk with his friends; even while saving the world.

Finishing rdr made me feel that way.

got to the point where I was purposefully slacking on the main story to do some of the side stuff. Ended up feeling like it was cheating on the game. So I sucked it up and finished it. Now there is just the side stuff to do. I am sad. I will pick it up soon again, (lent to brother) to finish those things. Then slowly trade it into the sunset in true western fashion.

Right at the end when I saw I had lost Mordin. Then in the ending and I saw Mordin's Coffin. Why couldn't it be someone else.

I was so attached to my WoW avatar that quitting felt like killing myself. Or at least the badass part of myself that throws fireballs and commands demons.
