I've wanted to play some bad games merely to see what makes them so bad. It's the same with bad movies I guess. :/

I think I would only play bad games (bad in the sense that I don't like them) if I was playing them with friends or for achievement points. Though I don't really play xbox much anymore so the second point is not really valid.

I do pick up and play my brother's CoD games from time to time...

But I'm not sure that really fits the definition of "bad" since they're not buggy, and their gameplay is somewhat enjoyable.

While it's not the worst game ever, I keep getting the urge to replay Dragon Age 2. I know I'll hate it - I hated it while I played it the first time - but the core idea of it was solid, and it should have been an amazing game. There were just parts of it that were so bad I ended up cringing throughout most of it...

And now I want to go back and replay the good parts, without the horrible everything else. Unfortunately, I'll likely never do it because in order to play the good portions you have to put up with hours of repetitive fetch quests, copy/pasted dungeons, and waves of enemies that make absolutely no sense and ruin any sort of strategy you can devise.

I've always wanted to play Portal for the longest time... (Hey-oooooooooooo!)

But seriously, there've been quite a few games I've seen be absolutely ass, but I've found myself wanting to see what's up with them. Such as a lot of the NES games I see the AVGN review, such as I saw another user say.

Yes it has happened to me many times. I'm not interested so much in just mediocre games, but in notoriously bad ones, like Tunguska: Legend of Faith, Tomb Raider: Underworld, or Alone in the Dark.

Not really, but I used to buy every cheap game I saw just for trophies and achievements.
When I realised I had over 80 games, but only around 20 tops that I actually wanted, I decided to stop doing that...
Was really hard to stick to it during the post-Christmas sales!

not play a game, but I did go out of my way to read "My Immortal." Since reading it, I've developed a cold, and a liking for MCR and GC. That fanfic does bad things to people
You think that is bad I followed a link to Cloud mows the Lawn. I scrub and I scrub but i'm never clean.

I do actually, I feel like playing a bad game is somehting I should try afterall not ever game from the past will be good, and I want to see what the worst of the worst is like for myself.
I dunno man, Cloud mows the lawn is bad, but I tried reading/watching harry potter again afterwards, ruined it completely

A game is only "bad" based on personal preference and opinion alone. I don't trust reviews for their scores, only for their presentation of gameplay for me to form my own opinion. If it looks fun, I'll pick it up. If not, I won't. It's that simple.

That being said, even though movie tie-in games are, shall we say, less than well-received, The Incredible Hulk (2008) is a game I greatly enjoyed when I possessed it for my 360. To this day, it is the single game in my profile history to have the most achievements out of 50, with 42 overall.

Now that I think about it, I should go find that game again. It reminded me a lot of Ultimate Destruction on the Gamecube, which was amazing. You can't go wrong with putting the player in control of the Hulk in a huge, free-roaming environment. You just can't.

I love it.

Do i ever, I played Modern warfare 2 yesterday. I just needed to play it, I don't know why ¬.¬ Modern Warfare 2 brings frustration to a whole new level.

OT: Other than ^that^, Deadly Premonition, of course. I feel like I'd enjoy that hard.
Good sir, Deadly Premonition is a rather excellent game.

Sometimes. I will occasionally boot up an old game I haven't played in ages that I know is bad mostly out of nostalgia of some sort of quirky characteristics it might have that I want to experience again. Most of the time shortly after starting the game I realise why I stopped playing, and then turn it off again. But it's fun to experience the unique charm some of these games have from time to time.

Occasionally I'm curious about them, and may even grab one dirt cheap if only to see just what makes it so terrible.

Sometimes I actually believe "this game looks way more fun than its atrocious reviews make it sound", and I'll grab it thinking the reviewers are just being unreasonable. (X-Blades, for instance.)

I bought Duke Nukem Forever and both Kane & Lynch games. On both occasions I had a good idea of what I was getting into.

So yeah... I think that's a "yes".
Rofl! And how did it go for you?

OT: No, never...

Bought Duke Nukem. It was an impulse buy during some crazy sale on Steam. Jeeze...I couldn't stomach more than after I finished the strip club level.

I wouldn't call it an urge, but more of a curiosity.

I borrowed Wet from a friend of mine, and I played it knowing well enough what I was getting into, and it was alright. Didn't see what the big deal was about it.

Nope. Never gotten curious when I find out a game is bad. Sometimes I want to see it for myself, but I would never buy a game when I think I am going to dislike it.
