I know this topic has been done before but if it's that big of a deal to make another one I'll probably just be a moderator action against me. But that's not the point. Has anyone else just outright lost their physical copy of a game? I just noticed today that my PC copy of the Orange Box is missing. I'm not that upset as I own both the PS3 and 360 versions but I have zero idea as to how I could have lost it.

I can't find Gears of War.

I wasn't planning on playing it again, but it annoys me that I don't know what happened to it.

Baldur's Gate from when I was young. One of the ones that was on about eight million discs (or more like five or six), replaced it with the 4-in-one boxset.

I had my Gamecube stolen from my house at Uni one summer. Seems all the contractors the landlady hired were Nintendo fans. Lost a lot of good games with it :(

When I was 4, my 2 year old brother decided that it was a smart idea to take our physical copy of Sonic 3 down with us on a holiday so he could look at the cover graphic while he couldn't play it. He left it in the motel room and I have never forgiven him for it.

I somehow managed to lose my copy of Pokemon Crystal Version, but I think an old friend stole it.

I didn't lose the game, but I lost the manual for bioshock. Found that out when I had to re install it.

Does my brother selling 80% of my PS2 and 360 collection count?
'Cos if so, that.

Everyone does.

Especially if you've gamed for over 20 years.

I always manage to keep, and know exactly where my shittiest games of all time are. Even in obscure places, in the attic for instance. Like "Monster Truck Madness" for PC, or "Deadly Towers" for NES. I will always know where they are; "At the end of the pile about 3 inches from the bottom in that box stored in the corner with 7 other boxes piled perpendicular and on top of it. The box has a torn flap, and the flaps are not tucked into each other, but the flaps of the box on top of it are. The box also smells like a sock, and I last saw the game 7 years ago. I think the game has a torn label as well." Yup, that's where it is, and it's torn across the title.

But when I need to find the disc for Company of Heroes or something interesting like that.. well, sometimes it's an ordeal.

I lent Red Faction Guerilla to someone I no longer have no longer have any form of communication with.
So I guess I sort of lost that one...

Not a game, but the manuals with the unlock codes on them. Especially after we had a big move from apartment to house. After a bit I started writing the unlock codes down after I bought the game on slips of paper, and taping them to the inside of the cover art box AND the hard plastic cover that housed the CD. lol

I lost Pokemon Pinball years ago and I've never found it. I still have the manual, it's like a constant reminder that the game is somewhere in the house.

There's also Pokemon Stadium 2 and Pokemon Snap for the N64, they don't really bother me because I'd never play Stadium now and I got Snap off the Virtual Console.

There's also Tom & Jerry House Trap for the PlayStation which has been lost for years and I don't have the slightest idea where it is.
