My very first Fire Emblem game, I looked down at my DS for a sec then looked back up and three hours had passed, then I looked down again and it was the year 2013.

Spontaneously bought the Darkness, a title none of my friends had heard about and that almost flew under my own radar completely unnoticed... Got hooked on it and fascinated by its story within a few hours. It was money well-spent. I still enjoy the occasional play-through every now and then.

Probably S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat. I'll miss the ability to trade with everybody when I move to New Vegas, if I make the move.

Minecraft! Oh god it is eating up all my free time lately. I tried it during the 'free weekend' on the request of a friend and the moment Notch's servers were stable again threw the $15 at him and ran away giggling madly like I got the bargain of a life time. So much fun and its only in Alpha, can't wait for the Halloween update pack =).

When I was younger Civilisation 2 was something I saw in a bargain bin and thought sounded cool, all I remember now is spending many an hour of my young life crushing barbarians and other players...but usually I just played the dinosaur scenario =p

Ummm...

Morrowind.
Just levelling my character, running around, murdering the wildlife (which has a strange habit of trying to murder YOU constantly), and just general screwing about.

This is pretty much Street Fighter 4 for me. Went into EB Games the one day, and I see it on the shelf for the PC section, and say "Hey, I haven't played a Street Fighter game before" and "Wow, this game will work on my kind of average laptop". And here I am, a year later with 2 SF4 Fightpads, waiting for SSF4 for PC.

Yes, I used to get random games all the time from my local game store. They have a big bag of random games, but after getting Barbie Horse Adventures three times in a row out of the bag I started to suspect they just filled it with crap.

Oh wait, you meant an impulse buy you enjoyed! Yes there have been quite a few impulse buys. Having only been burned on a handful of games in my time I'm not a freak about checking reviews or anything and often just pick up titles that look interesting.

I intensely dislike this game for no real obvious reason I can give, it just bothers me by its very existence. It was given to me free through so it ain't all bad.

Dungeon Maker II for the PSP. Found it cheap in a bargain bin, and man did I get hooked on it. I'm a lover of dungeon crawlers and get hooked easily, but having the twist of designing your own levels and having to really think about the layout just made it super addicting to me.

It's kind of why I'm worried about picking up Recettear right now, though I'm kind of happy my laptop is much less portable than a PSP.

This up until a few weeks ago. Then I switched over to Civ 5. The slower pace is a welcome change from some of those frantic SC2 games. According to Steam, I've played 45 hours of Civ 5 already. Damn them for keeping track.

Tropico 3. I bought it because the idea of being a South American Dictator sounded fun - I have since sunk days into that game.

I then bought the expansion, and now I'm playing through that campaign. It's addictive...
